The Fort Inn is THE Place in Newquay where local families with children go for lunch and dinner. The play area inside is tucked away so that adults can relax and enjoy a bite to eat or a drink whilst the children have a ball on the soft play area inside or on the well designed and safe climbing fort and slide outside. The view of Newquays fishing harbour is stunning from the outside area, and if you are lucky you will see the seals chasing the fishing boats for a free lunch. Seating is comfortable, service is polite and efficient and children are positively catered for with high chairs, baby changing and a menu for little eaters.
The Fort is one of the better places for elderly or infirm diners to enjoy a fabulous view without stairs or hills to climb. There is ample parking in the fore street car park very close by, for those who don\'t mind a brisk walk uphill then the harbour carpark is another option.
The menu at the Fort Inn is unashamedly Traditional English in tone with the Tribute Steak and Ale pie being a very popular choice served with mash and garden peas. Fresh Cornish Sardines are on offer along with scallops, for those looking for a tasty seafood option. For big eaters with a hearty appetite there is a grand selection of steaks and a chicken option available from the Char grill
