Mawgan Porth is situated mid way between Padstow and Newquay on the rugged north Cornish coast, it offers a beautiful west facing beach, stunning scenery, wondrous walks and superb surfing.
It’s a great family beach with lots of rockpools, caves and even a large stream running down the southern side of the beach. In terms of facilities there is everything you would expect from one of the region’s best beaches including disabled access.
There is seasonal lifeguard cover at Mawgan Porth and whilst swimming is generally safe this is also a popular surfing beach so is fairly exposed to the Atlantic swells.
