Rick Stein Porthleven offers local and seasonal produce inspired by Rick’s travels: Mounts Bay sardines, grilled mackerel and Butrint mussels.

There are also mains such as Singapore chilli crab, fish from the quay and rib eye steak.

Overlooking Porthleven harbour the restaurant resides inside the old clay quay building believed to be one of the first places in Cornwall to load ships with china clay from the region.

Tall ceilings teamed with artistic light installations and local artwork, makes for a striking location to enjoy our full a la carte menu as well as our set menu, a coffee, or a cocktail.

The picturesque town of Porthleven is the perfect Cornish fishing town – and the most southerly fishing town in the UK.

With stunning scenery, historic character and plenty of independent shops and galleries you can easily enjoy a day here.

Take a stroll around the harbour, visit the nearby beaches and loe pool, and enjoy some fantastically fresh seafood whilst watching the boats land their catch.

Review by MsKate77 –  Returned once again to Rick Stein Porthleven after previous great experiences and was NOT dissapointed. Our Sunday lunch was very lovely.. We had fantastic and attentive staff. The drink and wine selection was brilliant, pricey….. Admittedly, but worth the money! Rick’s mate makes decent wine!!! Presentation of food very acceptable and tasty. Size of portions more than adequate if you want taste over quantity. Very fresh and seasonal produce. Everything was just perfect. I have special dietary requirements and the chefs were exceptionally attentive and understanding. The only issue was that the fish and chips seemed a little over cooked. If you want fine dining, go here, but if you want Fish n Chips, probably best you visit Rick’s at Falmouth or Padstow. ps. Cocktails and Dessert Wines are much recommended. Enjoy!!

Review by gl0ucesteradvisor – We found the whole evening at Rick Stein Porthleven a delight, from friendly staff, greeted with a warm smile, drinks ordered and table ready,
We all ordered different things off the menu and although a limited choice, it was all superb.
All 6 of us ate well and no one had anything bad to say about the evening and left with full stomachs and a satisfied contentment
