Rick Stein Seafood restaurant in Falmouth serves Rick’s favourite dishes such as Amritsari fish, Cornish chilli crab and meen kulambu, a fragrant cod curry from Southern India, as well as fish and chips and daily specials.
As well as the seafood restaurant, we have a takeaway serving fish and chips, tiger prawns, fish chilli burgers, battered oysters and more.
Classic fish and chips are at the heart of the menu using cod, haddock and local fish like hake and lemon sole.
Some of Rick’s favourite seafood dishes also feature such as grilled sea bream fillets, moules marinière, grilled lobster, shucked oysters and choices from our daily specials board.
We also have a takeaway offering battered and fried fish and chips plus charcoal grilled hamburgers, tiger prawns, fish chilli burgers, pots of cockles, mussels and more.
We’re also serving homemade chips, curry sauce, mushy peas and our mayonnaise-based tartare sauce.
There’ll be cups of tea and chip butties, of course, but also some nice wines and good beers, particularly our own, Chalky’s Bite and Chalky’s Bark, brewed by Sharp’s Brewery in Rock.

“It’s great to be in Falmouth. Outside Padstow it’s my favourite seaside town in Cornwall.
Jill and I have looked around Cornwall for a long time for a place to expand beyond Padstow.
Our inspiration for The Seafood Restaurant originally came from a restaurant in Falmouth that we frequented during the 1970s, so it seemed only natural to finally open our own restaurant here.
It’s a place we both know well.
“I’ve always been fascinated by Falmouth. From childhood reading, it was one of those romantic ports where ships left to rescue nobles from revolutionary France in Scarlet Pimpernel novels. Historically it’s always been a major port.
It has one of the best natural harbours in Europe. It has fabulous fish and is a pretty and atmospheric Cornish town. Why would I not want to be part of somewhere so special?” Rick Stein
Review by hortophagus Falmouth – We have been here a couple of times & the food is delicious. I went to Rick Steins Padstow restaurant a few years back & was disappointed that but his Falmouth lower key ‘chippy’ & restaurant I much preferred – been with friends & family for an easy lunchtime birthday meal with young children & the food was lovely. The service when we went with chldren was a bit annoying as we went at midday to ensure fast service do we weren’t spending too long seated at a table & in fact even though we ordered first we were served about 4 tables later? Hungry children and & a long wait make for anxious parents. The food was lovely when it came & we haf a birthday cake which my family brought with them with prior consultation
