What's on at Gylly Beach Cafe

Learn more

Gylly Beach Cafe is wonderfully positioned on Falmouth’s famous Gyllyngvase Beach, overlooked by the imposing Pendennis Castle and central to panoramic views of the Lizard Peninsula and The Helford River, Gylly Café is a unique, stylish and popular eatery.

Family-run and award-winning, our café offers a warm welcome outstanding service and locally sourced food, served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Open throughout the year the café is the ideal place to enjoy everything from a relaxing coffee with a home made cake to a tasty lunchtime treat or evening meal using the finest local Cornish ingredients with a culinary twist.

The blue flag beach and its adjoining green flag gardens is an ideal day out for all the family, and we can cater for all those needs.

If it’s a bucket and spade or an organic Roskillys ice cream or a relaxed meal with a partner we can do it and we care.

Rain or shine its worth a trip to the beach.

Not only are we passionate about our food and service we are also passionate about our local environment.

We are continually striving to come up with new ways to help preserve Gyllyngvase beach’s beautiful surroundings.

Also with your help we can both do what we can to protect and preserve our privileged location.

In everything we do the café is trying to make a difference.

From the food on your plate to the view you enjoy to how we recycle our paper, we are constantly striving to get better.

Everything is homemade on the premises using local fresh product – don’t think it gets any better than that!

Our famous ‘Roast On The Coast’ will be back due to popular demand after its success last season. Enjoy a full roast and a drink for £11 with a sea view and savour the autumn colours of eve! Plus we’ll have some fantastic live music acts here from 7:30 every Sunday – keep your eyes peeled on our social media pages to see what’s on.

Roast On The Coast now running!

Feeding the Cafe

Gylly Beach Café now has a new neighbour in the form of a glass-fronted beach bakery, created especially to supply the café’s dishes with freshly baked artisan bread.

Some of the breaded-type delights gracing the café include olive-laced focaccia, light brioche burger buns, perfectly-baked bread rolls and classic fougasse a la provencale.

From Bakery to Plate

All of our cakes and breads are made by our 4 full-time passionate bakers who try not to be too distracted by the wonderful views from the bakery whilst they are crafting hand-made bread and delicious cakes that will travel a mere 30 yards from oven to plate.

Come and say hi

Like our café, the bakery offers stunning views over Gyllyngvase Beach and beyond – come and see for yourself. We really appreciate the interest in the bakery so far and we love visitors – come and break bread with us.

We’re using our freshly made bread wherever possible in our café and you will always find our handcrafted loaves for sale on the cafe counter!!

Here’s to the future…

We’ve got big plans for our little bakery – watch this space for developments – today the beach – tomorrow the world!
