There were nine of us including children,which to start with can be a trying table to serve. What we found was friendly efficient staff, an inspired menu and an excellent wine list. Frankly I don't think I've had a better meal in years. We shall see The View for miles to come.

My sister and I were down for the weekend to see (vegetarian) friends in Cornwall and visited The View Saturday lunchtime. Decor was simple,but just right with that fantastic view outside,staff were friendly and helpful -and the food was delicious! Would definitely go back!

The best food I have really enjoyed for quite a while!! I am not a great lover of fish, but the the monk fish I had to eat for lunch was wonderful!! I would give 15 marks out ot 10!! I think this is the best food to eat in the area & the staff are all very helpful & friendly. We have a weekend home at Downderry & will be bringing all our guset to eat in your resturant!! Superb!! Just booked a table for the bank holiday weekend & can not wait to try some more of your delicious food. Please complement your chef!!

I bid for a mael for two at a charity auction for this and paid £100 - may sound above avaerage but was worth every penny !!
Fabulous seafood, friendly staff in a superb atmosphere.
Without a doubt - the best eating out experience since moving to the south west 18 months ago.

Absolutely first class restaurant. Fantastic service, and excellent menu. Ask for the hot chocolate desert it is the best desert I have ever had

this was by far the best resteraunt i have ever been to the service was brillant and the food was out of this world. also i loved the layout of the new restraunt and the stunning views. on a whole exellent
