The last time that we visited this public house was approx 40years ago. Then all we could get was bar snacks. We were in the Hayle area last week (17th Sept > 24th Sept 2011) and decided to call in to re-visit some previous happy memories. Firstly we found that the place had changed completely since our last visit. Secondly, we enjoyed the meal so much that we had (4 of us) that we re-visited on another 2 occasions before returning back home. The staff were all most welcoming and we will certainly plan on calling back next time we are in Cornwall) Many thanks for promoting such a good media as this thus enabling us to leave our comments on a very enjoyable place to visit.

A group of 8 of us had a smashing mid-week evening at Trevaskis Farm Restaurant with virtually eveyone choosing different main and sweet courses. All food was very inviting, good portions, well served and presented. We (5 of us) were on holiday and 3 of our guests were local people who had never used the restaurant before. We all would not hesitate to both recommend or use Trevaskis again in the future.

My family and i eat out at the BaltiKing in July 2011.The place was very clean and the Staff were pleasant, we could also take own drink which was a bonus. When were seated and given the Menu, my husband got out his Keyring which was also a bottle opener, the waiter insisted on opening all 4 bottles for us, which we thought was kind of him. We ordered the food, Poppadom's and chutney tray. It wasn't the best Indian we have had, the sauce seemed a little salty, but we eat it, the meals we had chosen were around £7.95-£8.95 which wasn't a problem plus extra's rice chips nann. So i reckoned the bill would be about £50.00 and was suprised when it came to £58.50. After Checking the Bill, i now know why the waiter insisted on taking off the bottle tops...we were charged £2.00 Corkage!!! 1 Chutney tray which was hardley enough for 2 people and there were 4 of us plus poppadoms £4.40, then after we queried 2 of our main dishes with the Manager/waiter, which we thought were £7.95 each, we were told they we £9.95each, they are exactly the same dish except if you say Balti in front of Chicken Malya they tip it in a Balti dish and Charge you £2.00 extra, plus its half the price on the takeaway menu.

In would give this 2 Stars.

Well what can i say? One word, PERFECT! Dan and his team made us feel so welcome. We used their restaurant as our venue for our Wedding Reception. I couldn't fault any of the service they provided. The food was delicious, out of this world and they accomodated my mum with her dietry requirements without hesitation. The service from the waiting staff was perfect, attentive yet not encroaching. The venue, food, service and stunning view made our special day just that bit more special. I cannot praise them highly enough!
I thouroughly recommend anyone looking for a Wedding Reception venue to make Godrevy Cafe their 1st and only choice.

Hello,
Four of us have just spent a week at Clowance House, Praze, Camborne in Cornwall. We ate out at a different restaurant for lunch and evening meal every day. We reside in Cheshire where we are fortunate to have some excellent restaurants which we take advantage of every week.
Overall, our eating out experiences in Cornwall varied between unremarkable and disappointing - with one notable exception.
Rosewarne Manor, Gwinear Road, Connor Downs, Hayle. Absolutely everything about this restaurant was head and shoulders above all the other restaurants we used. From arriving at this venue to leaving the whole experience was First Class.
The ambiance and atmosphere in the establishment was complimented with good helpful attentive staff. Without any doubt whatsoever we all agreed that the food (and beer) was outstanding. Our only regret was that we discovered this restaurant on our last night. We unanimously agreed that we would have been eating there regularly during our holiday had we discovered it earlier. Next time we are in Cornwall we will all look forward to returning back to Rosewarne Manor for another outstanding meal (and pint of ale!).

LOVE the hot chocolate! And as for the atmosphere? BOTTLE IT AND SELL IT! Godrey is just THE most fantastic cafe.

My children were treated to lunch yesterday by both sets of their grand-parents, who took them to The Lamb & Flag Inn, Canonstown, near Hayle.

When they came back, they told me what a wonderful time they had whilst there. The food was good, and the staff were more than helpful, and they were excellent with the children. There was quite an extensive menu, with a special children's menu. The children were also given little activity packs.

Just thought I'd pass on their experience, they will definitely go again.

'Me and my now husband Martin, would like to thank Cyril and all the team at Rosewarne Manor. We had our wedding reception at Rosewarne on the 4th December 2010 it was the most amazing day. The food was top notch everyone keeps commenting after the wedding how lovely the food was and really tasty. I cant stress enough how pleased we were with the food and service. The disco was so much fun we were very impressed with the DJ who played all the music we had chosen and seemed to get everyone dancing unlike some weddings we have been to in the past where the dancefloor is empty. All the staff kept the drinks flowing on the day and made sure everyone was looked after but were unintrusive on the day and professional. Alot of my friends are getting married in the next few years and said they would think about using Rosewarne now. My Sister who was a bridesmaid on the day had one of her best friends wedding about a week after ours at another venue and although she had a lovely day she said the food was so poor in comparison to what she had at Rosewarne it definitely shows that its a restaurant and puts alot of careand attention into its food. All the food seemed so fresh and was not only best food ive tasted at a wedding but I think also best meal ive had pretty much in my life. I recommend the duck as a main! We are also thinking of going back for our first year wedding anniversary for a nice meal. I liked the way the manor is big enough but not too big so it had a cosy feel too the day and saw all my guests without feeling like everyone was in different rooms! Cyril laid the tables with all our wedding colours just the way we wanted and when i walked into the room on the wedding day it was magical and cant really describe the day other than was the best day of my life. Such a lovely start to our married life. Thanks Rosewarne!'

It was a lovely warm evening and we were treated to a view of the estaury and a flock of geese flew over...very nice to watch whilst having an ice cold bottle of beer. The meal was great and the steak was cooked to perfection. It was lovely to see sauteed potatoes on the menu as an accompaniment as you don't see that too often. Not only does it have fantastic surroundings but the food is superb quality and a very good choice of menu. My daughter is vegetarian and it was nice for once not just to be offered a processed veggie sausage! Everything seems to be cooked to order, so you know it is fresh, and yes, you may have to wait a while when it is busy, but hey- just enjoy the views and relax! We were recommended to hold a special celebration at Rosewarne Manor and arranged things last year. As I was working overseas a lot, most of the planning was done by e mail but we met up with the owner, Cyril, at the restaurant on a couple of occasions. He arranged a special menu for us and spent a lot of time making sure everything was right.
I would like to thank everyone at Rosewarne Manor for our 50th Wedding Anniversary Dinner and the wonderful evening that we spent with them on the 23rd July. There has been universal praise for all aspects of the evening. The food, wine and service were great. Everyone, without exception, has said how much they enjoyed themselves. Indeed our guests have not stopped talking about it. They have certainly earned our highest recommendations.

Firstly the pub is handily situated and has ample parking and access to the restaurant was excellent which was great as my father in-law has difficulty walking. It is also a very attractive setting and has been tastefully decorated.
The waiting and bar staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. They also pointed out all of the available deals helping to cut the overall cost of the mean down.
The food was not expensive, served attractively, plentiful and fantastically fresh and well cooked. There was a nice menu selection with many local and fresh food options and additional specials..
A very pleasant evening and i will be heading back there time and time again!

We were not disapointed. There is a wide choice of meals and requests are accomodated if you need something altered slightly. Families are very welcome. I recomend you book in advance at the weekends and Fridays as those nights did seem busier. If you are a steak lover then you NEED to try the wild mushroom sauce - it's amazing! Rosewarne really helped make our holiday again and we look foward to returning again, hopefully next year.

I'm very fussy, but the establishment was spotlessly clean (even the legs of the chairs and windowsill corners were sparkling). We enjoyed it so much that we returned the following evening for a second helping of good food and warm atmosphere in a clean and pleasant environment. From themoment that my friends walked in until we left we felt welcome as friends rather than customers. A warm welcoming smile, food as we wished to have it served, great tasting food and being asked whether we needed anything else rather than having to ask for it all went together to make our visit truely enjoyable. As a VERY fussy eater it was an enjoyable experience to be able to eat all on my plate and enjoy it rather than to scrape off something that I had not asked for and could not enjoy. Without doubt - I'll be back !

Four of us booked for the Dine in Style offer and were not disappointed with the choice or quantity of the food offered. Two of us went for the local rump steak and the others had pork. Well cooked and presented with frienly service. Desserts were a bit of a letdown with sticky toffee pudding not standing up well to the micowave but the home made ice cream was great - go for the butterscotch especially said one of our party.

We tried the Pink Elephant rose wine which was a bit bland but there was plenty of others available. Comfortable dining room and hooray - no canned music.!

Until this year we have always enjoyed a delicious family Christmas dinner cooked at home. Due to circumstances this year we decided to eat out on Christmas day, and can admit that we all felt apprehensive. After all, everywhere gets booked up so quickly; places are very busy; and food must be mass produced to cater for so many people efficiently, mustn't it?
What a pleasant surprise, then when we arrived at the Lamb & Flag. Yes, it was busy, but cosily so, rather than feeling like sardines. The service was very friendly and efficient. And the food was lovely, with the starters and desserts especially being very nicely presented. We all had a great time, and my mother who usually prefers to eat at home enquired when they would start taking bookings for next Christmas!!

visited here many many time, Sunday lunch always (PERRFECT)Cyril/GILLIAN AND STAFF ARE SO WELCOMING no matter how small the party. They always treat every customer as an individual. So much choice on all the menus, nothing is too much trouble. Have booked for Christmas Day lunch, all booking for meals are strongly advised, as the restaurant is full before you can blink. We are so looking forward to the Christmas luch here, as prev experiences at the Old quay house remain a (LEGEND) but we won't go there with terminology. See reviews it speaks for itself!!!!!! upon a request for a table for Christmas lunch, Cyril is so customer focused, e-mail and follow up telelphone calls received, to confirm booking, how lovely is this?
If you have not yet visited this RESTAURANT, please do so, you will not want to eat anywhere else. Having been to Cornwall for the last (35 yrs) and have seen a lot of change hands, and not for the better believe me. Look forward to seeing you all at Christmas. As any Bride & Groom know, the Wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. You want the day to be perfect and a big part of your dream day will be your reception.

We held our Wedding reception at Rosewarne and I can highly recommend the Service, the below will highlight our reasons why!

The Cost

Lets get to the nitty gritty, any bride and groom will have a budget for their reception. We carried out research on venues in Cornwall and Rosewarne were extremely competitive. The great thing is that what you get is an all inclusive cost that includes the following:-

• A three course top notch meal (however you have the choice of an excellent buffet with Cornish delights)
• Wine (red or white) with the meal
• Disco hire and DJ
• Evening buffet (if you require one)
• Welcome drinks
• Exclusivity (if required for a small extra cost)
There are no hidden extras and no surprise costs

The Food & Drink

My husband and I opted for the three course meal and an evening buffet. The great thing about Rosewarne is that you get a choice of menus and can tailor a menu to suit you. As well as that your guests can chose from as many as four menu options on each course!

All our guests were impressed with the high quality of the food and commented that they felt they had gone out for a top quality meal as opposed to the traditional boring three course wedding food that is sometimes churned out. Rosewarne use the best produce/suppliers in Cornwall and you are guaranteed the highest quality whatever menu you decide on.

The staff are also excellent at getting the food out on time and are very accommodating when there are special dietary requirements or special requests.

The wine served with the meal was exquisite and Cyril the manager of Rosewarne allowed us the chance to test the wine to see if liked it before it was served at the Wedding.

Evening Entertainment

The disco and DJ were excellent, we had the chance to request some songs from the DJ that we knew the guests would enjoy! Everyone enjoyed the dancing and boogied the night away. The evening buffet served was delectable and replenished hungry guests after their dancing!

Conclusion

What separates Rosewarne from the rest is the fact that you get a personalised service. Cyril knows many contacts within the Wedding industry that can make the your day special. The location is beautiful and if the weather is nice the guests are able to make use of the patio and gardens.

Your Wedding day is something that you want to be remember for the rest of your life and Rosewarne will help you do just that. They have for us.

I decided to hold my 60th Birthday celebration in July of this year at Rosewarne for 110 guests which was absolutely fantastic. I have never heard so many guests praise the food which was delicious and very 'today'. The venue itself was ideal as the 'older more mature' guests could use the smaller room to actually talk to each other whilst the others could listen to the superb group in the larger room. All in all a very memorable evening and I would certainly recommend anyone wishing to hold an event or eat out to go to Rosewarne.

They especially liked the lamb and the perfectly cooked vegetables.

We are posting this review because Monsieur requested that we do what we can to ensure that the place gets better known and gets the reputation it deserves. He says that even in France such establishments are rare.

For starters we chose crabcakes with a lemon and ginger sauce which were absolutely gorgeous , followed by rump steak with garlic mushrooms ,crispy onion rings and homemade (yes homemade) chips.Dessert was beautifully presented and tasted divine. All in all I could not find any faults with our evening at all.I would recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone and we are hoping our daughter will consider having her weding reception there next year!!

We arrived at the restaurant not knowing what to expect. Our last visit was over twenty years ago, we were pleased to find that the manor has been refurbished and appeared to be busy, always a good sign. We had booked our table earlier that evening allowing time for us to visit Angarrack to enjoy the Christmas lights. We met our friends and the waitress showed us to our table. The menu was extensive and claims were made about the provenance of the meat and ingredients being local. Now I am a farmer and also a partner in a farm shop, so consequently whenever I go out for a meal I always ask “Where does the meat come from".
Quite often the reply is "Oh its local" But when I enquire further that is often all the staff know! This evening the response was different. The waitress assured me she would find out and report back. Sure enough, just after we received our main course, the owner of the business came to the table with the evidence and the authenticity of the origin of the meat. He was able to identify the sirloin steaks to a particular farmer and the rump steaks derived from another farm nearby. I was impressed; I have asked that question so many times but this answer was great. The restaurant was able to identify where the meat actually came from and importantly it was Cornish and local.
The meal we enjoyed was very good the meat was tender, juicy and cooked to our liking. We all cleared our plates and enjoyed a pleasant evening with our family and friends over a hearty meal. Thank you the Rosewarne Manor restaurant.

Having arrived for a holiday in Cornwall with an aim to eat local produce - cooked to perfection we were not disappointed.
The warm welcome on arrival together with the intrinsic atmosphere of a country house with a slightly contemporary feel allowed our party of five to sit comfortably debating the delightful menus on offer.............this will be the most difficult task for anyone dining here....making a choice from such mouth watering dishes.(The fish chowder starter is a must!)
The whole evening had a relaxed ambience, food was served promptly, piping hot, with care and attention to detail - every individual dish displayed the freshness and the taste that would be expected from the locally sourced products.....which are interestingly available to view on a map at the entrance to the restaurant.
The profiteroles arrived like an artistic masterpiece - and were consumed with passion.
Oddly enough one of my personal highlights was the house red - if you lean towards red do try it - it’s to die for!
We holiday in Cornwall at least once a year - Rosewarne Manor is definitely on our list of restaurants for a return visit.

However the Food was served quickly, the food from the main menu was excellent. Food from the Bar menu, although cheaper and equivalent to most local pubs is not to quite as higher a standard as the main restaurant menu but still pleasant.
Since my last visit the menu has been updated with more meat dishes than before. During my last visit there were more fish and vegetarian dishes, but I guess they cater to demand.
This appears to be a popular restaurant with people wishing to hire a venue for a celebration, so it maybe worth enquiring if there are any large functions taking place if you are booking for a quiet meal.
The menu, despite the heavy emphasis on meat, shows much more imagination since my last visit. My Salmon was cooked to perfection and very fresh and the chef's choice of ingredients worked really well.
I'd go again, but will check the menu online before I go and make sure no large functions are taking place. 9/10 for food, 9/10 for service, 7/10 for atmosphere on the night I visited (Saturday in September).

THE STAFF AT THE LAMB AND FLAG ARE ALWAY SCOURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY, ALOLOWING TIME TO BROWSE THE EXRENSIVE MENU. THE SUNDAY LUCH IS SECOND TO NONE, WITH RESPECT FOR ANY OTHER REQUESTS FOR EXTRA VARIATIONS TO THE MENU FULLFILLED. CYRIL IS ALWAYS HELPFUL BUT BOOKING IS ADVISED AS THIS POPLULAR VENUE GETS VERY BUSY WITH ALL FAMILY AND PERONS ALIKE FOR A TASTE FOR GOOD FOOD. WE HAVE BEEN VISITORS TO CORNWALL FOR MANY YEAR BUT ALAS SOME RESTAURANTS GO DOWNHILL VERY QUICKLY AS CHANGEOVER OF PROPRIETERS TAKES PLACE, WITH VERY LITTLE OR NO EXPERIENCE OF THE CATERING PROFFESSION. WE VISIT THE LAMB AND FLAG ON REGULAR OCCASIONS AND HAVE NOTHING BUT PRAISE TO ALL CONCERNED THERE. A VERY HARD ACT TO FOLLOW FOR THE LOCAL COMPETION. IF ANYONE VISITS CORNWALL THIS RESTAURANT IS WELL WORTH A VISIT. BELIEVE US YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. WITH A VERY RELAXED ATMOSPHERE. THEY HAVE NO NEED TO ASK(IS EVERYTHING ALRIGHT. We held our daughters christening buffet at Rosewarne Manor on 17th August and had a wonderful afternoon. My initial meeting with Cyril was very good and with his help and advice we agreed on the menu which met our requirements. And we were delighted - all the food is produced on the premises using locally sourced ingredients. Everything was delicious - Tuscan vegetable pizza, Hot baked mushroom with blue cheese, chorizo and sunblushed tomato , creamy jacket potatoes stuffed with cheese & onion, a selection of cold meats. The children loved their own buffet table and eagerly ate the homemade sausage rolls and fish goujons. The food was nicely presented and served by Cyril who informed people what was in each dish as some guests had specific dietary requirements.
Rosewarne Manor has been totally refurbished and the room we used was fresh and bright, overlooking the gardens where the children played on the lawn.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We had a very enjoyable, relaxing afternoon and would recommend Rosewarne Manor for a function. We will be going back to try out their restaurant soon.

Their three course evening menu was excellent value for money. Each course we had was cooked perfectly and we did sample 16 different dishes being four of us, great real home made chips no frozen rubbish and the extensive use of local produce is great news for all concerned.

And with a cosy spot on the ground floor of a converted warehouse under the viaduct at Foundry Square, their 'modern continental-style cafe bar' will be sitting pretty once plans for the multi-million pound marina development finally get under way.

Packing plenty into a smallish space hasn't proved a problem so far as Friday evening diners will see as the laid-back bar-caf?? morphs seamlessly into a live music venue as the night goes on.

With solo appearances from Hitchcock Rules frontman Ryan Jones, acoustic sets from Joe Francis of the Ammunition and full-bore performances from the Dirty Livin' Rhythm Band there has been no shortage of quality local acts.

Tempted by the allure of live-drum-and-DJ from La Casa Bongo and 'steak night' I took my wife for a stroll down to White's Warehouse in up-and-coming Hayle to see what all the fuss was.

Inside it's all wooden floors, low-slung leather sofas and bare-brick walls with just a half-dozen plastic dining tables and an open-plan kitchen tacked onto the bar.

The ambience is relaxed and informal and the menu reflects this with platters to share, big things, side dishes and gourmet sandwiches making up the varied menu.

With our surf-and-turf order of battered haddock and T-bone steak already placed we plumped for the nachos grandes to share and spent the next 15 minutes scaling a mini-mountain of tortilla chips loaded with cheddar, salsa, sour cream and guacamole.

The portion is probably enough for four but we worked hard, stuck at it and before long it was gone.

My T-bone was medium rare, well-seasoned, tender and plenty big enough to satisfy the most bloodthirsty of meat-eaters.

An unusual garnish of what seemed to be roasted parsnip shavings went well with the onion rings and a good tangy pepper sauce helped it slip down, but I would have preferred a flatter plate as the large bowl made tackling the beast a bit tricky.

The haddock was delightfully fresh, coated with the lightest of Betty Stoggs infused batters and came with fat chips, salad and a creamy tartare sauce.

As we washed it all down with pints of Guinness the bar filled up with local drinkers and the musicians unloaded and set up in the corner.

Eating in Salt has a slightly hectic, rough-and-tumble feel on a Friday but I thought it made a welcome change from some of the 'ghostly' gastro pubs whose regulars have long since been pushed out by the switch from boozing to schmoozing.

The food was good and arrived quickly despite the barman having to juggle waiting duties with keeping a packed bar of drinkers well topped up.

Partners Timothy Antcliff and Toby Hume-Rothery seem to have struck the right note with Hayle's newest kitchen and chef Mathew Ward's 'legendary' Salt burger is said to be popular with the regulars.

And the locals will surely be looking forward to the day in the not too distant future when it's just one of many fine eateries dotted around the cobbled walkways of the new marina.

Good points :
Pleasant friendly staff,
Meals seemed to be cooked from mostly freshly made ingredients and not defrosted. Pleasant surroundings. Food took 25 minutes to arrive, so not too bad. There is a bar area and a resturant area, although the bar area feels far more informal, but both are very pleasant. Prices are average for area, not cheap but not expensive either.

Bad points:
Difficult to see the restuarant entrance in the dark from the car park, not illuminated well enough.
Chips a little overcooked, but at least looked were made from fresh potatoes - really a minor gripe.
Not doubt will become very popular in time.
Overall well worth a visit, I'd give it 9/10.

I had tempura prawns to start and the batter was so light and scrummy!! My partner had devilled whitebait and he was also suitably impressed! For mains i sampled the beef tails and they were out of this world, the jus which accompanies in was just gorgeous and the beef very tender. My partner had the mussels which he always enjoys and my mother in law said she had the best steak ever!! Even if it was well done!!! The treacle puddings and custard for pudding really finished off a very enjoyable evening. We also wanted to mention the young waitress who was on duty that eening, she was very busy but polite, friendly and very good at her job. Thanks all - what a way to end 2007!!!

Very welcoming "gastro-pub" interior with warm reception by staff. An interesting and nicely presented selection of courses to choose from together with a range of sensibly-priced wines. As first time visitors to the Lamb and Flag we had no idea that the portion sizes would be so generous, so we may need to bear this in mind for our next visit. We both ordered the soup - my wife had the cream of vegetable and I ordered the seafood chowder. I honestly believe that it was the finest soup that I have ever eaten in my life - it was quite simply, wonderful. My wife followed the soup with a delicious vegetarian dish based on flat cap mushrooms and I ordered mussels which, together with the wine and cream sauce were cooked to perfection. A very nice bottle of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc completed the meal. The cooking cannot be faulted and the table service was charming. In these days when so many restaurants find it necessary to bolster ridiculously high prices with fancy garnishings, it's truly marvellous to find somewhere like this where the food really is of an exceptional quality to start with and is then transformed by a clever and highly competent chef into an outstanding culinary experience. If one word describes what goes on here it would be "honesty" and I shall recommend this restaurant to everyone I know - it is tremendous.

A relative of mine also tried it for dinner and was amazed at the quality and portion sizes. My only critisism is that it is quite warm in the restauraunt. The food is excellent and all locally produced, good portion sizes and the puddings are quite frankly, out of this world! You can even take one home! For inexpensive high quality food, very friendly staff, a relaxing atmosphere with good live music, Salt is the place. There has been quite a bit of thought put into this place, for example if you like a malt whisky then there is an excellent Caol Ila behind the bar...whereas other bars just stock 'bog standard' brands. Try the seven deadly sins but only after the best burger around. Don't be fooled by burger on the menu, Mac D's this ain't! the food is cooked fresh to order, sourced locally..and it tells. Well worth coming into Hayle for.

Beautiful location with food excellent and staff that could not do enough for us. We stayed for a long weekend in July and while weather was average, it would certainly not stop us from going back, sooner rather than later! 5 star.

Went to Trevaskis Farm for a meal after reading the recommendations and what a meal !! The food was superb, portions enormous and puddings to die for. Service was first class with a very friendly waitress from Glasgow and the bill was very reasonable, will be going back next year when on holiday. Can't praise it highly enough.

If Carsberg made beaches then probably Godrevy would be the result. Glorious smmoth sands, a gorgeous panoramic view with the island lighthouse in the foreground and the special sight of seals splashing around make Godrevy just about perfect. Part of its beauty is that it is unspoilt and natural. Walk just beyond the dunes and Godrevy Beach Cafe offers the same qualities. Knocked out by my first visit to the beach I strolled into the cafe to find plenty I could choose from - always a bonus for a vegetarian. The difficulty was choosing because everything looked excellent. It didn't just look excellent. It was. All four of my party had something different, everything was top notch and unlike so many cafes the portions were generous too. We sat on the balcony enjoying the view when we realised our mistake. There beneath us sat a couple drinking huge, fabulous looking hot chocolates...which we hadn't ordered. Next time though...

4 of us recently ate several great meals at Godrevy, culminating in a special Spanish night. We ate fried calamari, fish stew, chicken and chorizo with beans and fried potatoes, and some yummy desserts. The sun was going down over the sea as we sat out on the balcony, and the setting and atmosphere were magical. We had great service, and the talented chef does brilliant breakfasts, lunches and teas as well - we'll be going back whenever we return to Cornwall - it's a gem!

Recently visited the Curry Leaf with a friend. We both love spicy food and he has been to Thailand, We were really impressed with the restaurant. The staff are very friendly and help you choose. We had a mixed starter the spring rolls were yummy and the satay heavenly. The Curry was not what I expected looking a bit watery sometimes the Green Curries are thing. But it was packed with flavour and there was loads of prawns to eat, still crispy and crunchy. My pal had a stir fry and was blown away how authentic it was. A very tasty dinner.

Eaten here more than ten times never disappoint for lunch, breakfast or just home made goodies and coffee to walk the dogs with. Super spot.

A small pub with freindly licencees, that actually say "hello" and "Goodbye" to everybody. Iwould recomend this pub to anybody. P.S. try the Steak and ale pie!!!!!.
