Went with my vegan partner and non veggie daughter and her friends. Food was of a high standard for vegans and veggies. Also enjoyed by the reluctant non veggies. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all.

We ate at The Waymarker recently and were very impressed with our experience. The setting just lovely - peaceful countryside, comfortable outside seating and well designed interior space.

Our meal was absolutely delicious. Lots of interesting choices on the menu and really large portions. We had Shepherd's Pie and a very hearty panini. Each was presented with imagination and served with delicious accompaniments. The vegetables served with the Pie were so sweet and fresh - corn, snap peas and baby carrots - cooked to perfection. The panini was served with a simple salad of fresh greens and herbs with an amazing dressing. Also had a beet seed cake for a special treat - just delicious - subtle flavors and remarkable texture. Everything was served with great care and elegance. We would highly recommend The Waymaker for a yummy meal in a most beautiful setting.

We visited the restaurant last night and couldn't have asked for better food or service. We were welcomed immediately and served quickly. Great menu choice along with the specials. I would highly recommend the home made cheesecake it was delish!

I took my mum for lunch at this hotel last week as I had hurd nothing but amazing-local-food a must.... And it certainly lives up to the speculation - We had a seafood mix to start - AMAZING - then to follow - Seabass - AMAZING - the staff were extremely attentive - and sat us on a table with a fab view too!
I will be going there again for sure - there is a passion in the food at St Michaels Hotel which you dont find in many places.

I am more than confident to recommend this lovely restaurant. Staff are friendly and quick to deliver wonderful cuisine and no matter what the occasion will see to your party with a welcoming smile.

The food and service at Cribbs is brilliant. We loved it so much that the owner, John did our evening food for our wedding! My family are Jamaican and they all loved it - high praise indeed. We will go to Cribbs every time we go to Cornwall - de-lish!

Our meals were both excellent (the mole poblano was the best) as was the nachos starter and the margaritas. Having eaten at a number of southern Texas and northern Mexico restaurants I believe I have a good background for judging good Mexican food. 3 Amigos is well worth a visit.

We were celebrating our honeymoon in Falmouth and stumbled across Cribbs. We were a little sceptical of a caribbean restaurant in Cornwall. Being londoners and originally from the West Indies we eat caribbean food all the time. We were absolutely blown away to find this gem!

Once seated, the ambiance, atmosphere and relaxed music took over and for my husband, so did the fantastic selection of rums! We ordered the special seafood soup and mixed bucket for starters. Both were fresh, seasoned and scrumptious!! I ordered curry lamb with rice n peas, and my husband ordered the jerk chicken for main. Again, fantastic. The lamb had just the right amount of heat and the meat melted in my mouth. The jerk was also delicious! Normally jerk is cooked using chicken quarters and not breast, however it was so moist and succulent, having the right amount of sweet from pineapple chutney and heat.
We were absolutely stuffed but managed to squeeze in a scoop of ice cream to finish off the meal.
This is definitely a hot spot to visit. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. John, the head chef delivers a true authentic taste of the Caribbean!

Ps: my husband has asked me to big up the rum selection..... Again!

This resturant, is an excellent warm welcoming place that serves lovely tasting food. The workers are very polite and helpful and make you feel very wecome.

We went to cribbs as a works outing (Howdens Joinery).
The food and service was fantastic promt service and very accomodating, very lovely meals great flavours.

We called in last week for an evening meal. No booking required. We had Pineapple and Coconut Janga and the Lamb Curry - both were excellent. The service was friendly and efficient. The background music was inviting but unobtrusive and we both really enjoyed the evening. We shall be returning!

Wonderful views over Falmouth harbour - not to be missed. Staff friendly and efficient but the best part is the food. Local fish dishes with a twist, making the most of the fresh supply - so what gets caught that day gets cooked. Imaginative menu where everything sounds tempting. Not on most tourist's radar but well worth seeking out.

Visited the 3 Amigos last night and found the food outstanding. I'm a fussy eater and i ate everything including some of my husbands!! I will definately be returning. Well done the chef and staff, thank you for a most enjoyable evening.

A lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting. The owner is the perfect hostess who makes great food, especially the cakes! The people I visited with enjoyed a range of dishes from the menu, including sausage and mash, veggie burgers, cottage pie and the quiche. Everyone was impressed; great attention to detail, even the side salad was interesting and well thought out. Great cakes afterwards too. The following day, we enjoyed great quality sandwiches and the best flapjacks we have ever had. A lovely relaxing place.

I had a fabulous meal (Ackee and Saltfish) with family and I was particularly impressed at the excellent service, size of the portion, presentation and scrumptious seasoning :-)

We will definitely be back for more. Good tunes too!

Went in for lunch today and had the mackerel nicoise as recommended, light tasty and wonderfully fresh in a beautiful dressing. Great value, local produce served in a relaxing, child friendly enviroment. I also love the great mix of customers and the background music.

What a hidden gem! We visit Falmouth regularly and usually stay on the main street for food however we ventured further afield this time and tucked away behind the Chain Locker we were treated to a veritable feast in the form of the hot seafood platter for two, excellent food, with a warm, friendly Cornish welcome, what a treat! Definitely well worth a visit for good cornish fayre!

Thoroughly enjoyed lunch, will definitely go back to sample the evening menu... although I'm not a vegetarian , it was lovely to see some really good vegetarian food on offer along with delicious fish & meat dishes .. Was only going to have 2 courses but saw some of the puddings & couldn't resist!!! All washed down by some very reasonably priced wine & served to us by the charming & friendly hostess . Falmouth you should be very proud to have such a good restaurant !!!

What a lovely surprise when you take the plunge and go down the stairs... its modern and clean and the fOOD IS FANTASTIC.. So dont walk past, theres a warm friendly welcome awaiting you from Chris and his staff.

On 22nd of May 2011 we booked a table at this restaurant for 10 people to celebrate my girlfriends 32nd birthday. From the second we got there we were welcomed with a warmth from the staff that continued thoughout our meal with an amazing amount of attention even though the rest of the restaurant was completely full. This set us in a fantastic mood that made us not want to leave, the food was second to none and in my 34 years I've been to many upon many a restaurant home and abroad, but this beat every past experience. We were there on a Sunday and the roast beef was beyond amazing, the veg was on point with fantastic touches that I will include in any Sunday meal I cook in the future. All 10 of us said after, we will be going out of our way to revisit this restaurant and recommend it to anyone and everyone

The Waymarker is a hidden delight but is well worth seeking out. The food is well sourced and freshly cooked to a high standard. Traditional meals and homemade cakes are all delicious. The pear and ginger cake will require a return visit. The welcome is always warm and maybe next time the weather will be kinder and we can enjoy the outside seating area overlooking the woods.

As locals we ofen dine in Falmouth, especially in the winter months. This is our favorite restaurant, we have never had less than a great meal, and such friendly staff. If friends come to stay this is first choice.

MY WIFE AND I HAVE EATEN WELL, ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, BUT THERE IS JUST SOMETHING ABOUT GIUSEPPES THAT PUTS IT AT THE TOP OF OUR LIST. THAT IS PRAISE INDEED! WE HAVE EATEN THERE OVER 20 TIMES, AND IT IS ALWAYS PERFECT. WELL DONE DINAH AND GIUSEPPE!

Another excellent evening, the second visit in 6 weeks. We always receive a warm welcome, the food and atmosphere are great. Difficult to choose from all the tempting dishes on the main menu or the specials board, especially the fish. It's always an essential stop when we visit Falmouth and we now book a table as soon as we've booked the hotel. Highly recommended

Spent a weekend in Falmouth and decided to visit the 3 Amigos. We were pleasantly surprised with the authentivity of the meal and its quality. The natchos were superb as were the fahitas. My only critisism would be that there was too much to eat and it was so delicious that we just had to finish it. Also a good wine list

We had a carvery 3 selections of meat and a large array of fresh vegetables. Extremely tasty, and very well presented - no room for one of the fabulous homemade desserts on display which also look fabulous!! Service very friendly and helpful and dont hover whilst your eating will be going back again!!

Probably one of Falmouth's best-kept secrets. Not the most prominent entrance (down steps into a cellar) but well worth looking into. Plenty of choices using mainly local ingredients to attract your attention, but it's the presentation and quality of cooking that will be best remembered. A real pleasure to find somewhere that relies on quality rather than quantity. Sweets are divine.

The atmosphere and service was so much improved since we lasted ate there. The staff looked happy in their work and seemed pleassed to serve us

A warm welcome, a comfortable restaurant and excellent food. A short menu but with plenty of variety and tempting specials. Lovely fresh fish - some of the best I've tasted in the area - and definitely the best dessert in Falmouth to date. Nice to have a Cornish beer to accompany the meal too.

Summer or Winter it can be busy so expect a little wait, but always worth while.

I found The Waymarker a few months ago and am now a huge fan. The freshly made soups and cakes (along with all the other freshly made food) are the perfect way to finish off my work week and a very enjoyable start to my weekend.
The welcome is always warm whether the sun is shining or the deck is doing an impression of an ice rink.
Built just above a pond there is plenty of wildlife to be seen (and I don’t mean the locals!).
Children and dog friendly this tea room has a lot to offer whether it’s a 3 course lunch or just coffee and cake.
Oh and if you have problems choosing which cake you want ... have both!!!! Because there are some lovely signposted local walks you can explore to diminish the guilt!!!

Very enjoyable meal last night - all cooked superbly but main course of mackerel with mussels and scallops was inspired. Could not understand why we were the only table for most of the time we were there as they should be full! Will certainly return.

The setting was great and it was a clean and tidy restaurant with a good feel to it, however was let down by its service. Booked a table, and were told itr was not ready. After ten minutes we were shown to our table which was clean and welcoming, however after a further fifteen minutes we left as we had not even been seen by a waiter to ask for a drinks order - happy that places are busy, but 25 minutes and not even a drink - we felt let down and ignored by the staff who seemed uninterested in us. Can't comment on the food as we didn't get the chance to order, although the menu did look good - dissapointing.

We ate in Cribbs last night, 12/2/11, I would like to say is the staff are so genuinely friendly and happy, the service is first class, but you are not fussed over. The food is outstanding, there is genuine passion in the food, everything is just so well presented and the flavours are amazing. Each and every person who left were very happy and you could see they had obviously had an enjoyable visit. I cannot recommend Cribbs highly enough, and would like to thank John and his staff for a great night.

I recently visited The Shed for a work Christmas party and I cannot praise the excellent service I received enough. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the atmosphere was great, and most importantly the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this venue to others.

Last night I visited The Waymarker with some friends for our annual Christmas celebration. The food was delicious, a colleage remarked it was the best Christmas pud she has ever eaten,and the extra touches provided by Rhiannon made it all very special. From the mulled wine to the streamers, party poppers etc put on the table.

Please support Rhiannon in her venture as it is well worth the drive through the cornish country lanes.

I have been into Hem's restaurant many times over the past 5 years and I would say without doubt they are the friendliest bunch of people who always work really hard to make you feel welcome. The food is excellent and fresh and we love taking our kids in because of the welcome.

We had a fantastic lunch at the Red Lion last Sunday. Claire always has a smile for us and Jess is brilliant. There were 10 of us and we wanted for nothing, plenty of roast potatoes to go round and fabulous roast dinners. The bread and butter pudding I had for dessert was to die for. You do a very good bottle of Rose blush too. Loved it, thank you!

WE BOOKED A TABLE FOR 8 PEOPLE AND EVERYONE WAS ABSOLUTELEY DELIGHTED WITH THE FOOD AND SERVICE. WILL DEFINATELY BE GOING BACK AGAIN AND HAVE NO HESITATION IN RECOMMENDING IT.

We booked in on a Friday night to scope it out for a small wedding party after scouring the web for nice looking, unfussy restaurants with good reviews. Thankfully the good reviews appear to be very well deserved (I know that I take this kind of thing with a pinch of salt!). Good service and the food really is a notch above most places - cost was very reasonable and more than reflected in the quality of the dishes that arrived at the table (I'm often disappointed in this respect).

An extra note worth pointing out is that I'm vegan (they were pre-warned at booking!), and it was a very pleasant surprise to find a host that was truly switched on regarding special diets and even warning me that none of the wines were likely to be suitable. I think this is the first time I've been really taken aback in a regular restaurant. Furthermore the veggie options stray away from the tired old standards, which according to one of the chefs is something they make a particular effort with.

Needless to say the wedding party is booked in to the lovely downstairs area and we're looking forward to coming back here.

My cousin and I had a really lovely sunday lunch here recently, the surroundings are attractive, there is a choice of outdoor dining or indoors in the very tastefully decorated restaurant, the food was excellent,and reasonably priced, and the service was also excellent,the owner Rachel was very friendly and welcoming, it does semm a little off the beaten track but well worth the short drive to get there, and i'm sure if you are out walking it would be ideal to stop for refreshment.

we went to Indaba the other day for our wedding anniversary. the views are spectacular and we enjoyed the food very much. the atmosphere was relaxing and the waiting staff were lovely. my great grandfather built the place when my gran was about 10 years old, we are going back about 90 years so it is fantastic to see how it has changed over the years. we will definitely be booking again.

We visited Two Ten Restaurant on Saturday evening and the service, food and wine were outstanding! The food was cooked to perfection - we initially went in thinking we were going to make use of the special off they were advertising on the food, but when the fish choices were given to us, we couldn't help but be tempted! It was just delicious - would recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone!

The Gylly Cafe is always the first port of call on our annual trip to Falmouth. Lucky enough to have friends who lend us their wonderful house overlooking the sea, we dump everything and head off to the Gylly Cafe. Tucked snugly into a corner, with a decent -sized glass of Chablis, the grey streets of London are soon a distant past. The combination of a fabulous view, funky decor, great service and of course superb food, soon gets you in the Cornwall spirit. We bagged the last two portions of seabass with a delicious sauce vierge on a rainy Sunday night - and they were better than every piece of fish we ate in two weeks on a Greek island earlier in the summer! Gently, but perfectly smashed potatoes were topped with a delicious pan fried fillet of fish and surrounded by a pool of sauce as green as the seaweed that strewed the wind and rainswept beach. The children did equally well with jaw-breaking size burgers - both chicken and beef were fresh, succulent and superbly grilled. Mounds of chips chunkier than the stones of Stonehenge and more than a token salad kept them quiet for a good half hour - even the cards stayed in the bag! And best of all (for them) was the reappearance of Eton Mess - also declared the best tasting of the whole summer. And they should know, having sampled this most British of puddings the length and breadth of the UK as they partied (and ate) the summer away with friends and family.
What a great way to start the week in Falmouth - and even better to know we would be coming back before the holiday was over!

We stumbled upon The Waymarker when we were staying near Falmouth. What a find! The location is beautiful, set in a water meadow, and the restaurant is elegant yet welcoming, with great attention paid to detail and styling (such as artworks displayed on the walls and lovely flower arrangements). One might expect high prices, but the food was very reasonable, delicious, and as carefully presented as the restaurant itself. In addition to this, the owner herself gave us a very warm welcome, and revealed that the cakes we enjoyed, which were outstanding, had been baked by her the previous evening! It's a new venture but with food like this and such a lovely place, it's got to be a great success!

Wonderful tasty fresh fish - a real find!

Dropped in without a reservation during Falmouth Week and were made very welcome by the friendly chef and staff. Traditional Caribbean food was creative, modern and presented well. Of course that means nothing if the taste isn't there and we were delighted by that! Gentle and unobtrusive theme music added to the vibe and we would recommend a cocktail or two before you dine!

Simply the best. Excellent service and brilliant food. If you are in Falmouth believe me go there.

We had lunch there and the food was superb. If I had to pick out one dish it was the Lemon Possett, but everything was great. The staff were welcoming and efficient and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere to it. I'd recommend it to anyone.

We have been to this restaurant several times for lunch and we have always been really pleased. The service is very friendly and the food superb and very fresh.

Completely perfectly delicious.

Having had a myriad of restaurants to choose from along the same street we chose this restaurant as it looked cosy and about half full. It didn't disappoint. Menu is weighted towards fish (as you'd expect!), but they couldn't have been more helpful when I asked for a slightly different vegetarian main course. Service was attentive without being too much. The menu even tempted my steak-loving partner to have two fish courses - fabulous mackerel fillets followed by monkfish. Local ale was available - we'd recommend the honey beer! One of the best meals out we've had in a very long time.

Amazing food and great atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant if eating in or even for a takeaway. They are very generous with their portions and when i've eaten in or had takeaway, i've always been given freebies.

Modern restaurant with fantastic views over Falmouth bay.But the view is not just the reason to visit.Took friends for a birthday dinner and everyone enthused about their meals.Specialising in fish but if you are not a fishy person and I'm not there is no need to worry becasue the other choices are tremendous.We all left vowing to return just as soon as we can think of a good reason for a night out

We stopped in at the Waymarker for an amazing cream tea, the scone of the moment was Cinnamon and fruit, very delicious! We also went there for a fabulous 'Fest Noz' celebration in the evening, with music and dancing! Such an amazing atmosphere! Very much recommended!

We had a most enjoyable family lunch (4 adults and a 6 year old). The food was excellent and the service attentive without being imposing. We left after 3 hours with fond memories and we will definitely be back.

We spent a week on holiday in Falmouth and, as it was our wedding anniversary on the Saturday we arrived, we booked a table for two at Samphire in advance. How lucky was that? Apart from being less than 50 yards from where we were staying, we were greeted warmly, shown to our table downstairs (great retro decor and a really cosy but modern atmosphere) and had a really excellent evening. Really good service from a friendly and funny (but never over-familiar) waiter, excellent food beautifully presented and a great selection of drinks followed by very good coffee and a bill that amazed us by its low total. Samphire would be my first recommendation to anyone eating out in Falmouth.

I recently went to this restaurant with a group of friends and we were not only impressed by the high quality standard of the food but also the surperb service by the staff. Great place to visit!

What a find ! we loved the Waymarker a true taste of Cornwall, firstly we had a light summer lunch and then back for one of the best Sunday lunches we had had for ages.

Lovely, buzzy, friendly bar and eatery with a nice selection of good quality light bites through to more for bigger appetites. Nice selection of veggie. options. Lively atmosphere, friendly & quick service.

Although the restaurant was very busy the staff managed to find us a table and were very welcoming. The menu was enticing and we were not disappointed as the standard of food was very good. I liked the nice touch of the wallpaper design being echoed on the menu. The service was excellent and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

This is by far the best fish restaurant in Falmouth. There is a daily selection of fresh fish and shellfish, which is cooked simply with delicious accompliments so the true taste of the fish can be apreciated. Staff are very welcoming, service is attentive and the quality of the produce is high. Add to that once the of the best views of Falmouth overlooking the boats moored by the Maritime Museum and you have a perfect lunchtime or evening experience.

We came across Cribbs about a year ago and it is simply the best Caribbean food we have ever had (and there are quite a few in London!) John(chef)manages to create beautifully presented dishes which contain layers of delicious flavour and the lamb curry is a must. This also makes a refreshing change to some of the over complicated and fussy restaurants in the town. I cannot recommend this place enough, Falmouth is lucky to have this restaurant! Try it and you'll be greatly rewarded.

wow, we had a fantastic eve out here, everything was perfect the staff were all friendly and very attentive, the menu and specials board were amazing and our food was outstanding, everything was cooked to perfection and very well presented, it all tasted so fresh and the homemade deserts were to die for. we sat downstairs and the atmosphere was brilliant. highly reccomend this place and we will be visting again very soon. well done to all all at this restaurant as everyone is so enthustiastic.

It's nearly six years ago since Thomson's cruise ship Celebration was refitted at A & P shipyard in Falmouth, and ever since then I've been looking forward to an opportunity to return to 5 Degrees West, where the atmosphere, the food and particularly the service, all go towards an unforgettable hospitality experience. That opportunity presented itself yesterday with the invitation to survey another vessel at A & P, and once again, under new ownership, 5 Degrees West still excels. True, it's a bar that does food, not a fine dining restaurant - but most times that's exactly what we all want, especially when the whole experience is so satisfying! - unfortunately I didn't get anyone's name, but the three female staff who served table 31 on the evening of 16th July 2010, and the new lady owner and her lady colleague, are all to be commended on their personability and high standards of Customer service. I sincerely hope this review will inspire others to experience 5 Degrees West at the earliest opportunity, and I trust that the current issue of a noise nuisance allegation by a local resident will be resolved without damage to the first class operation here, which surely contributes more to the local economy and environment than would the empty silence evidently demanded by the complainant!

We have been several times here and always had excellent service and the food is exceptional and very different. Will definately go back next time we are in Cornwall (which hopefully wont be too long. see you soon.

Four of us went to Samphires for a special birthday dinner on a Saturday night. The food was absolutely BRILLIANT - all of it was fresh, tasty, interesting and perfectly cooked. The ambience was warm, friendly, and relaxed. The background music was so good, I wouldn't have minded taking away a CD. It was such a great evening. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Go there right now!

We ate at Cribbs last night (22/06/10) and can honestly say it was one of the best meals I have eaten.
For starters I had scallops with cashew butter, and my husband had the duck rolls. My scallops were beutifuly flavoured, with the taste of cashew being distint but not overpowering the scallops.

For mains I had roasted hake, my husband had jamacian jerk chicken. Everything was perfectly spiced, without being overpowering or too hot.

I don't usually eat desert, but the first two course were so good I decided to 'squeeze in' a passion fruit cheesecake, which was flavourful and refreshing.

Cribbs also had a well thought out childrens selection. It was good to see it wasn't just a list of 'whatever & chips' which most restaurants offer. We ordered my toddler half a chicken breast with mash and gravy. This was clearly cooked with as much care and attention as the adult meals - I had a little taste and would have been happy if it were served to me. They were more than happy to let us order 'off menu' for his dessert so he could just have a scoop of chocolate ice cream.
They also provide crayons and colouring paper to keep my son entertained during the wait for food. Clearly a restaurant that understands family needs.

To sum up, clean plates all round & customers that would happily return: what better review can a restaurant have?

We arrived at Samphires restaurant late at 9.15pm. We were pleasantly greeted and advised of a 15 minute wait. Shortly after we were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary Bread and Olive platter which was beautifully presented. Our main meals followed shortly; a rack of lamb and a rump steak served with vegetables. Both I and my partner enjoyed the superb meal and attentive service in what is a cheerful friendly environment. Decor and music was classy. Good value eating, we will be returning to this restaurant.

We ate here last Sunday June 13th. What a little gem of a place, the food is simple but really good. The menu whilst simple has something for everyone. Everything was really tasty & fresh, the chips are just to die for.

We ate here on Monday 13th June. The staff were friendly, welcoming & efficient. We really enjoyed our meal the chef knows how to cook fish & delivered to our table piping hot & with a hot plate to make sure it stayed that way. The caribbean sauces were just excellent but for people with less adventuous tastes there was plenty of less spicy choice. We'd highly recommend this restaurant, just one small improver point for the future the puddings were nice but nothing with a caribbean twist.

Was on holiday in Falmouth and searched for the most interesting sea food menus we could find. There were 3 of us and the food was superb and exquistitely presented. staff friendly and welcoming . All in all a memorable meal. We LOVE seafood.

Whilst visiting our daughter at Falmouth Uni we decided to all go out for a meal and tried Samphire. What a great decision! The atmosphere was relaxed, the service efficient and the food was fantastic. We each had something different from the menu and were all urging one another to try our food. As we are back down in a couple of weeks, you can be sure we will be booking a table but dont take it from me, go there and try it yourselves - you will not be dissapointed

We visited Samphire for lunch last week whilst visiting Falmouth for the day. We were hugely impressed with the restaurant, food & staff. The mussels were delicious & our 3 children were delighted with their choices. Credit must go to Samphire for creating a special dish for one of our daughters who has an egg allergy. The 'can do' attitude shone through at all times. We also took home some of their homemade scones & jam that can be thoroughly recommended! See you next time we're in Falmouth!

Cribbs is a true taste of the caribbean, with its relaxed atmosphere and their warm welcome. the food has soul that i've not before tasted in this country. all the staff are incredibly friendly and never mind my 17month old daughter running riot around the place. It's one of a few places that have a healthy childs menu! no pizza, only homemade fare. Iguess on arverage my family eat there three or four times a month, but always when we're entertaining! I have managed, withthe help of Cribbs to convert many friends and family who said it wasn't their thing. What else can i say except, please keep making jerk chicken with pineapple chutney, and long live Cribbs!

We enjoyed a wonderful meal of excellent seafood in this newly refurbished restaurant which is set in a stunning location overlooking the sea and beach. The menu and wine list provided plenty of mouthwatering options for all tastes. We liked the ambience and the staff were good humoured and helpful.

Have eaten here several times both lunchtime and evening since the changeover from the Three Mackerel and the meals and service have always been excellent. Portions are substantial and very good value for money and the views are, of course, incredible. Nice, friendly staff and the refurbishment is such an improvement. Have recommended this to many friends who have been equally as pleased as us.

I visited Samphire Restaurant Bar with three sailing friends on saturday evening. As soon as we walked through the door, we experienced a warm and friendly welcome. The staff were efficient and helpful and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
The menu was varied and interesting, our veggy friend was impressed with the number of vegetarian choices. I would highly recommend the Rabbit starter and my steak was cooked to perfection. it was also good to see that young children were also made very welcome.In short, an excellent restaurant, highly recommended. As a new venture we wish them great success. We'll be back next time we are in Falmouth.

We found the Wheelhouse Crab & Oyster bar quite by chance. It is a small cosy place with a very warm welcome. The menu is limited to shell fish Crab,Mussels,prawns & oysters. They also have skinny chips and salad as sides. Every thing they do is freshly cooked for you. We had mussels to start and they were as good as any we have had in France or Belgium so are their skinny chips. We followed with a whole fresh Crab which we shared. It was very good and came with fresh bread to mop up the juices. This was accompanied by a bottle of the house white wine. Total cost for the whole lot was £32.15.
While we were there a family with small children came in and they had Lots of the prawns,a bowl mussels and lots of skninny chips. Even the children were tucking in. This is a very new place and to be recommendes to any one who likes good sea food. You will need to book as I think it will be fully booked later in the season. Give it a try.

My wife and I are regulars for lunch at Indaba Truro and visited Indaba on the Beach with high hopes. We were not disappointed and found the same high standards of food and service have been duplicated. Well done.

A delightful restaurant. We've visited Falmouth regularly for the last 20 years and tried all the restaurants at one time or another. This is one of the best. The special menus (we tried both Mothers Day and Pie Night) are equally as good as the standard menu. Food is high quality and imaginatively cooked. Service is excellent and friendly. As return visitors we were welcomed back like old friends. We wish David and Emily every success, it's a diffficult time to take on a new venture but they deserve to succeed. Can't recommend Samphire highly enough.

I have come to visit the area again for the fourth year running I have eaten in numerous eating places around the area this time I visited the samphire restaurant where I had a spectacular meal the service excellent and friendly surroundings I found the menu extensive and enjoyed the meal so much I returned the following lunchtime even though we had a sandwich lunch the quality and value were excellent.I would recommend anyone to visitthis restaurant the prices were very affordable.

the family and i went to the waymarker for the mothers day roast - we were treated to beautifully presented homemade food in the super newly built establishment. the service was friendly and efficient and we had a most wonderful lunch - the lemon and passionfruit cheesecake in particular was just heavenly!!! highly recommended to anyone visiting cornwall!

My son took myself and my other son, who is wheelchair bound, for Sunday lunch. The service was excellent. I had the chicken which was superb, my two sons had the topside of beef, which they both raved about and said actually tasted of beef and was cooked to perfection (not dried out). Two of us shared a desert and I bought one of the Waymarkers fantastic sweets, to take home for later. This place is off the beaten track, but well worth discovering. I will be going back again. They deserve to do well!

Ate in here on 6/3/10 and the service was quick, efficient and polite, the atmosphere was lovely and the food was very tasty. Prices of the meals were fair and they were served in good time.
We also took our 6 week old baby in with us and were treated very well, seated quickly and not discriminated against at all. Very family friendly!
Will be recommending this place to everyone in the future and will definately visit again!

I visited The Cove in a group of 4, we all had the dine in style 14 pound vouchers. We sat in the bar area and were well looked after with a lovely bottle of Malbec, the vouchers were quickly dealt with and we were given a special menu. The choice was excellent, one dish scallops had a supplement and the waitress also told us a couple of other dishes we could choose (both with a supplement). I chose the trout and prawn with a lime and chilli dressing served on a spinach mash, it was huge as a starter but so delicious, the fish just cooked to perfection. The oxtail soup also got a lot of praise from 2 members of my group. For mains I had Hake, with pakchoi, broccoli and sweet potato, again it was wonderful, covered in a green sauce, very tasty and the fish not overcooked. The gammon looked delicious in a mustard sauce but why eat meat at the Cove when they do such wonderful fish. At 14 pounds a head (with vouchers) it should not be missed.

Enjoy a lunch at samphires today,fish & Chips were excellent, i have recommended all my family to visit, amazing value for the lunch time menu.

I went to Pea Souk with three friends and only this place could have accomodated two pescatarians, a coeliac and a lactose intolerant so well. We're a really difficult lot to feed but even my boyfriend who loves meat was impressed with their vegetarian quesadilla. It's a tiny place but there's loads of choice on the menu no matter what you like to eat. The gluten-free banoffee cheesecake was a delicious finish to the meal. The staff are very polite and friendly and we felt very welcome.

We enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Samphire, great value for money and brilliant fresh flavours. I urge everyone to give them a go we shall be back for dinner soon good luck guys!

A new gourmet experience in Falmouth.This chef has exceptional talent in balancing both strong and delicate flavours for the delight of the eater.He is a master of sauces and we strongly recommend anyone who enjoys fine dinning to try this restaurant.

We visited The Shed to celebrate my husbands birthday in January. The service was wonderful and the food was fabulous (as always !!) There were 3 of us and we each had a different dish...the chicken fajitas were SO good !!! Steak ...done to perfection...and the burger was amazing !!! Sit inside or outside (blankets provided if a little chilly !)A wonderfully laid back/relaxing atmosphere ...suitable for ALL ages !!! We never go anywhere else ...coffee...cocktails ....a snack or a meal ...the Shed's the place to be !!!!

We found the Waymarker by pure chance while passing and decided to pop in for some light refreshment. The area was well presented, clean and airy. The fayre on offer was whilst basic - it hasn't been open long - of good quality and pleasantly presented. Being out a bit the area was pleasing and it has the potiental for an excellent place to stop for refreshments. aAs it is newly opened and only Friday to Monday at present - Mondays are not such a good bet as stock can be a bit low - but otherwise - Highly Recommended - so give it a go.

We had heard about this pub and eventually found time to visit and were not disappointed. The bar area is full of character with a nice fire and welcoming bar staff. We did move into the dining area which has lovely views over the reservoir. We shared a couple of starter the Thai fish cakes were delicious and the deep fried cheese with a strawberry couli very acceptable. I chose off the specials menu, lamb with a spicy stuffing , lovely lamb although I would hardly call the stuffing spicy, served with nice roast potatoes and a dish of 5 different very nicely cooked vegetables. All the mains came relatively quickly. We decided to indulge in desserts and ordered treacle tart and a bread and butter pudding amongst others these took rather longer to come and my treacle tart wasn't even warm but tasted delicious. We will certainly be going back, very good food at reasonable prices.

Provedore - Falmouth's gourmet jewel. My friend and I had nothing more than a baguette (salami, cheese, tomato), crab bisque, glass of wine and a coffee but all were as good as we've ever had. Testament to what quality products and culinary flare can achieve.

We visited the Ferryboat Inn Sept 2009 and what a fantastic atmosphere. A delightful setting. The food and service was fantastic, very pleasant staff. Really enjoyed it, well worth a visit, would definately go back... although tucked away this really is a little gem...

We were thrilled with our meal, the chefs hamburger was excellent, smoked mackerel, tagliatelli with Chrorizo all delicious. Well priced, good friendly service. In addition my mother who has mobility problems was visiting and the fact we could eat here with all the excellent facilities made for a memorable meal. We definitely will be returning with our daughters soon. Thank you and keep it the high standard!

Great selection of dishes and daily specials. Seafood Linguine, Rib-Eye steak and Gammon were real favourites - and all cooked to perfection!!! There is also a large selection of good wines and beers on tap. We will definitely be back!!!

Pea Souk provides the most exciting and innovative food I have ever had; and it's vegetarian! Their selection of salads are original and tasty; the quiches melt in the mouth; the flapjack and carrot cake are superb, and daily are home made soups that I've never heard of before, some spicy, some Oriental and served with home made bread. Pea Souk is a real experience and one that must be tried!

Absolutely brilliant. Had the lamb sunday lunch yesterday for just £9.00 and it is honestly THe BEST I have ever eaten. The service was so warm and helpful and the the decor was great. Mt 3 year old loved it too. Liked it so much I took my out of town friends there for lunch and they loved it too. I had the cesear salad and can't believe that it was also the best I've ever eaten. Don't spend twice as much at the three Mackarel, go to the Shed. They deserve every penny spent with them.

lovely three course meal for twenty-one people.The food was delicious and hot and plenty of it. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the service was very quick.We will definately be going there again.

The whole experience was outstanding. The welcome was warm and friendly. The wait staff were never intrusive but were always there when required. The restaurant is bright, airy without losing warmth and intimacy neccessary for a special dinner. Wine selection was excellant with a wide choice of grape variety available to match the menu. The food was fresh, clean flavours and well presented. Highly recommended!! (one wee grumble, the front door didn't shut properly and frequently came ajar). 9/10

Return visit after 25 years for an special birthday dinner. Excellent service and very high standard of cooking. Reasonable bill so further visits may not have to wait so long!

We were supposed to be on the Isle of Man, but had missed our flights, so decided to go to Cornwall for the weekend instead. As we were walking through Falmouth we saw the specials menu for the evening meal at Two Ten Restaurant and both thought that it sounded delicious. We were the first customers in that evening, and both had a starter and a main from the specials board. The food was exquisite - the best meal that either of us have had for a long time. The fish was perfectly cooked, the vegetables had enough crunch, the wine was chilled just right and the service impeccable. Another couple came in just after we had finished our starter, and they ended up ordering pretty much the same meals as us, I think possibly because of the positive noises that we were both making about the food! All in all it was a very enjoyable meal, and I would definitely recommend that everyone should go there for a meal! The atmosphere was lovely too, even though the restaurant itself is quite small and has no sea views - with the service and food provided this didn't matter a bit! Thank you again for a fabulous meal.

we ate at Cribbs for the 1st time this week and i have to say that it's the best place in Falmouth for a relaxing meal with an amazing chef and on the money service. lovely decor too which is clean and contemporary and not cluttered. a wide choice of starters and mains for everyone, an open kitchen which was spotless, wide range of drinks and funky cocktails. we loved it. and will be back. open one in every town in the South West please. oh and in these trying times...fantastic value for money

Excellent food and excellent value for money. The service was friendly but unobtrusive and very efficient. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

My wife and I have been frequent visitors to Giuseppe,s in the last 3 years, usually on those "special occasions" when you want a dining out experience you will remember, and we have on those visits introduced family and friends to share that experience with us.
Not only are Giuseppe and Dinah, charming and welcoming hosts which is important but the food in our opinion is "second to none" The ingredients are fresh, the fish dishes are many and varied as are the meat and poultry dishes and all are cooked to perfection. We consider ourselves amateur "foodies" having on occasion attended gourmet events in this country and abroad and I am fortunate because my wife is an extremely good cook, so "dining out" for me has to at least surpass my "dining in" experience.

This has to be my favourite resturant in the world. We don't live in Cornwall but insist on visiting this fab little hideout at least 4 times a year. The food is fantastic and is served generously. All the staff are brilliant and you really do feel your meal has been just prepared for you. The resturant is generally quiet but even when it has been busy the atmosphere is great. This is the sort of resturant a girl would want to be proposed to at.

Had a great meal at the 3 Amigos with my wife and son. If you're after fantastic, freshly prepared food, using local ingredients at a reasonable price, then look no further. I couldn't resist trying the other dishes that my family ordered, and was hard pressed to find a favorite. Just edging out the crab enchilada was the chicken chimichanga - the chicken was hand shredded which gave it such great consistency the whole way through. If you're after plastic food, a well known chain restaurant is across the road. For us, the 3 Amigos is the real deal.

Just a wonderful place summer or winter with a menu to match the picture perfect Creek well worth a visit and you will go back for more

I have been going to the cove for coffee and light lunches for ages (normally I eat on the terrace after a walk on the beach with the dogs) but I recently went there for a christmas party and it exceeded my expectations by far! For a function menu (especially at christmas time) the dishes we innovative, perfectly cooked and served on time. I had the warm poached pear, blue cheese and walnut salad to start which was a brilliant combination of flavours and presented beautifully, followed by a fab fillet of hake. For dessert I had chocolate mousse with homemade marshmallows and warm baileys cream sauce which just flowed all over the marshmallow, my perfect type of dessert!! It wasnt just me though, everyone in our party loved the food and will definitely be coming back during the rest of the year. All the staff were friendly and relaxed but were brilliant at their jobs making the whole evening run smoothly. We couldn't have asked for better service! All in all a brilliant restaurant which deserves all the acclaim it recieves and I would reccomend it to anyone.

We were amazed by the selection of starters and main courses available, coupled with a great selection of beers and wines to finish off the experience. We ordered the Duck Breast with red cabbage and hoi sin noodles, Jamacian Jerk Chicken with rice and to compliment the meal, the choice of rose and Red stripe was genius. The food came out quickly, it was cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely divine. The staff were very friendly and helpful, service was quick and the atmosphere was constantly high. It was as if we were in the caribbean but without the long flight!! 5 stars to the owner (who is also one of the chefs) and to the rest of the staff a huge thank you for making our experience so enjoyable. After arriving at Castaways wine bar to first see the stunning location we were then made very welcome. The meal was fantastic, we all had beautiful starters picked from a wide range of tapas available. To follow we were able to choose from a variety of main dishes from the daily specials and the menu, all of our meals were to a very high standard. Fresh local produce that was cooked to perfection. I would highly recomend Castways.

Nothing, it’s all true, the staff, service and food, are brilliant. We have never found fault whenever we have visited, which is many times over the years. It’s one place that I’ll always go back to with family and friends. Would recommend The Shed to everyone x

This is definitely one of our favourite restaurants - the food is just delicious, the house wines go so well with fish and meats that you do not need look any further. Tony and Alison run an excellent restaurant and, should your lunch run on a bit I(which ours frequently do) still keep smiling.

You could just walk past this place ...just a doorway with a menu...but do stop and read..sounded interesting so we took a chance..walk down the stairs to find a small room but very well positioned furnishings..we were concerned we were the only customers ...but more folks appeared mins after us...the lady serving was pleasent and friendly ...and then the food ..Well, good ortioned and presented in a stylish manner, wonderful...we shall be back again...my sons 20 & 22...were impressed and said they would visit again

An excellent restaurant - food, service and atmosphere very nice. 2 Courses for £15 from 6pm - 7.30pm when we went which was excellent value. The steak was the best that my partner had ever eaten. Very highly recommended and we will definately visit again on our next trip to Falmouth! - Shame its not a bit closer to home.

Just like to let you know we had a 40th birthday on Monday Sept 1st in the evening and the food was excellent also the staff were brilliant. As I am a regular customer enjoying the coffee often, thought I would like to say thankyou.

The 3 Amigos in Falmouth is a great find. The restaurant surroundings are lovely and the atmosphere is friendly. The food however is fantastic. Its is well-cooked and full of flavour. My husband and I had the steaks which were cooked to perfection. the cajun chips were very moreish, but what I enjoyed most was the homemade Brownie topped with ice cream. A must for chocoholics. It was heavenly! I am looking forward to going back again. Highly recomnended.

The stunning views and wonderful staff are the icing on the cake for my favourite Cornish eatery 'The Marine Bar & Restaurant' Falmouth.

A mouth watering menu with a fabulous array of daily specials coupled with a bar crammed full of delicious beverages makes this restaurant a delight.

The consistancy of the excellent standard of food draws my partner and I back time and again for Moules Mariniere, Peppered Calimari and Farm Fresh Steak. I have to say that I am a huge fan of Mussels in any kind of sauce and i have tried many restaurants but these guys at the Marine Bar have nailed it.

The menu is super for grabbing a yummy sandwich or indulging in four courses! A selection of tapas with specials is a light way to enjoy an evening but no doubt you will be tempted to try something from the farm or sea menu.

The farm menu offers anything from corn fed chicken to lamb shank, grilled rib eye steak to sausages and mash. The dishes change and are always something a little different and totally tasty!

The sea menu is the same idea offering a superb choice of fresh fish and sea food all at great prices. Just dont forget to try the mussels!

Another great atribute for this restaurant is the fact that it caters for everybody and any situation. The seating area is huge so a party can be going on in one alcove and a romantic dinner for two in another. The views as mentioned are lovely with an added bonus of an outdoor decking area directly above the marina. Perfect for a bottle of San Antonio and a bowl of marinated olives whilst watching the boats bobbing on the water.

Plenty of parking available and a feeling of 'getting away from it all' really does await you at this gem of a restaurant.

I have been there a numerouse amount of times and every time i have come i feel welcome and have been pleasured with the amazing pizzas,chicken kieve and the mussels !!! thakyou so much for being the you margretia pizza i dont know what i would have done with out you.

We have eaten at Giuseppe's on many occasions over the years and have always had a most enjoyable meal - Giuseppe & Dinah are very welcoming, the food is excellent and plentiful, with a wonderful array of desserts and at the end of the evening there's the nice touch of a flower for the ladies.

Yesterday for lunch I enjoyed a straightforward soup dish that turned out to be the most delectable tomato soup that I have ever tasted. Coupled with the beautiful views and welcoming service, I suggest you try it out as soon as you can.

My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time last weekend and we were so not disappointed. The staff were excellent on arrival and sat us in the window. Ok so the views are not spectacular but believe me the food makes up for it. The foie gras was perfect. The fish for mains is a great choice and presented to perfection. We had a lovely bottle of Camel Valley champagne which is so nice and not many restaurants carry this version. To me this was a perfect evening in a perfect restaurant.

we regualy eat at this cafe wether it is for breakfast lunch or dinner, we always very happy with the food, we find you get alot of food for your money and even though its cooked to order you don not have to wait to long for it.
thee only negative comments i can really say is it is not very buggy friendly and they could use a few more high chairs.

We recently spent a holiday in Falmouth, our first trip back for 30 years - lived abroad. It was lovely and to us unchanged. We had several meals out but Hunky Dory stood out in a class of its own. The staff were polite, well trained and friendly - tricky combination but they did it. The food was perfectly presented, every course from the salmon fishcakes to the sticky toffee pudding were absolutely delicious. Their timing between courses excellent. The ambiance was very conducive to couples feeling comfortable to chatting to other couples and therefore forming a warm and happy atmosphere.

I visited two ten for dinner when down in cornwall visiting my fiance. He has been working in falmouth for 5 months and has been eating out every night so is now a top falmouth food critic!! He recommended we go to two ten as a treat and I certainly wasn'd dissapointed!! The atmosphere and ambience was really intimate, the food was excellent and the service fantastic. I would highly recomnmend this restaurant for beautiful food, good wine...you will really feel at home.

Having just moved into the area, we are in the process of trying as many different restaurants as possible. We wandered down Arwenack Street on a Monday evening looking at menus and peering through windows and were attracted to hunkydory by the imaginative menu and the attractive view of the restaurant through the window. We were not disappointed on either count. The interior is lovely - intimate and modern and totally at home in its Georgian interior, with modern art on the walls and hand made ceramics on display. Choosing what to eat was difficult as there were so many tempting dishes. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere relaxed, the young staff helpful and charming. You could spend a lot of money here for a special occasion or you can eat from the set menu which is excellent value at £15 for 2 courses or £18 for 3. House wine is also very reasonable and very good. We will definitely be back again, hopefully soon.

The meal was fab i would recommend the dates wrapped in bacon.Yummy.Also if you like spicy food try the jerk chicken it was to die for.

My son and daughter in law had their wedding reception at the friendly and well run Aguaviva Restaraurant. The food was fantastic and the staff went out of their way to make it a very special event. Nothing was too much trouble and service was efficient but friendy. We all had a wonderful time and a meal to remember.

On our wedding day rather than have the usual wedding reception we took all our family for a meal at Aguaviva. Although we were a large group the staff some how managed to leave no one waiting for food and every one was kept happy trying a large variety of interesting and tasty starters. All dishes were well presented, garnished with fresh salad etc. For our main courses we had seasoned steaks , jerk chicken and Crispy adobe Hake, all the dishes were delicouse, spicy and nicely seasoned, vegetarians were also offered a good choice of interesting dishes making a change from the usual and predictable dishes usually offered when dining out. All guests commented how much they had enjoyed the food and the venue. It was the perfect finish to a perfect day.

I have had the good fortune to eat at the seafood restaurant mylor twice, and all i can say about it is brilliant, service was brilliant, food brilliant, i think you can guess the rest. To make it extra special if staying in falmouth book a water taxi, and travel in style!!

A trendy bar which serves superb food. Well worth a visit bistro style food well presented and piping hot. Great service in a relax friendly style. Not a five star resturaunt but a super place for an evening meal in a lovely setting. Nice for lunch in the summer as you can sit outside on the town square and people watch.

Having had lunch today at Castaways, we can thoroughtly recomended this restaurant. The view is superb, the food excellent, the staff friendly and the whole ambience of the place wonderful. The situation of the restaurant next to to water is superb with endless yachts going to and fro, and fishing boats landing their catch on the quay, which is reflected on the specials board. We live locally and will be frequenting Castaways from now on.

Well, where do i start!
For many years now, every special occasion, birthday, anniversay, our family has spent at Guiseppe's, and each time is just as wonderful as the first.
As soon as you walk through the door there's a warm, friendly, and inviting ambience, accompanied by the gentle sound of italian music. The staff are extremely friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. As i've eaten there many times, i've had the pleasure of trying a variety of the dishes. The fish is simply grilled with olive oil and herbs, which brings out the flavours, its divine! (especially the bass! which melts in the mouth!) The duck is also lovely! As is the gnocci arribiati! The main courses come with an assortment of fresh vegetables, and the best crispy sauteed potatoes I have ever tasted!
Theres always a selection of at least 5 deserts, all equally delectable! (chocolate mousse is amazing!!) If you are a Tirimisu fiend, Guiseppe's is a must!
Guiseppe is a fabulous chef, and after all these years, the family is still amazed how he manages to cook so many different dishes at once!
This has got to be my favourite restaurant, as not only is the food awesome, Guiseppe and his wife Dinah are so friendly, have a wicked sense of humour and its a joy to eat in their restaurant!

Thanks for an excellent meal - very good staff and great atmosphere - crowned off a good visit to falmouth - our first time but not our last

I decided to eat here whilst on business in Falmouth after reading their entry in the 2008 Michelin Guide. The menu offered a good selection and the wine list was short anf functional. I chose a Marlborough Sauvignon i had not heard of before, Wild Rock,this was as good as it gets. My scallops with boudin noir, warm apple puree, cold raw apple, sage and rosemary was very similar and as well executed to a dish i had in a 2 star Michelin establishment in Cheltenham. Speaking to Tony the chef and owner after my meal he said he is a big admirer of David E-M's cooking, the influence shows. My main of the bistro classic "steak frittes" was perfect. A well hung slab of refectly cooked and seasoned rib-eye, top quality fries and rocket salad with a watercress and tarragon dressing,10/10.I then chose my favorite and bech marking dessert, creme brulee. Now i have eaten this dessert a 1000 times over, all around the world, and i have to say this was the best ever.Flavour wise it was toffee and banana and it was served with shortbread and a guava sorbet. The falvours complimented each other so well, every taste of the incredibly smooth sorbet clearing the palette fot another hit of the brulee. I again spoke to Tony about this dish and how he got the to have the taste and texture so right. The brulee is not baked in a bain marie in the typical way but cooked in a Thermomix, a special blender,mixer,that has the ability to cook as it blends. The mixture is blended then heated and is kept at 78 degrees for 8 minutes then poured into moulds and refrigirated. The sorbet was made in a Pacojet ice cream maker, i have seen one of these in action at a trade show in Switzerland, it is the Rolls Royce of ice cream machines, the sorbets produced are the perfect temperature and texture with no flavour loss.Tony confirmed the prime reason for using new equipment and cooking tecniques, sous-vide etc is to retain as much flavour as possible in the top quality produce he buys.
Michelin have found a gem in the Bistro de la mer.

What a wonderful meal! We regularly eat out and this restaurant beats them all. The food was amazing, the service excellent. Worth the effort to track down this hidden little gem, in the wharf.

With no exaggeration, I can say that the meals I have had at Balti Curries have been the best curries I have had anywhere-including London and Bristol. The food always tastes absolutely freshly made, not like the reheated base sauces that you so often get in a curry house. Dishes described as sizzling are almost in flames and the Kebab Hassina is absolutely first rate. Top tip though, if you want parathas or chapatis you may be told it is a bit difficult but if you are willing to wait (they make the dough up there and then) you wont be dissappointed. Although if you can live without these breads its probably politic not to order them when the place is very busy. The naans are excellent anyway. Prawn puri for starter

Although a basement restaurant, it is intimate for an evening meal and not too large. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food it wonderful - I couldn't stop eating and paid for it later. Beware - the portions are very generous.

I have eaten at Giuseppe's several times and have always enjoyed the taste. Recently I have had pheasant in a lovely wine sauce and grilled buttered Brill served with freshly cooked assortment of vegetables and my mouth waters thinking about them. Starters tasted were pasta and bolognese sauce and a delicous crab soup. All were served freshly cooked by Giuseppe an outstanding chef. He has cooked and prepared food from childhood. It is a very comfortable restaurant, room between all tables. On my visit there was a contented sound of people enjoying the experience. A peep in the kitchen revealed an extremely clean and tidy stainless steel lined room.

We first went here a couple of years ago and loved it! Food was great, real log fire and comfy sofa's in the winter (if you're quick!) are lovely. Highly recommended.

Castaways is always at the top of my list as a place to have great food in beautiful suuroundings. My husband and I love the lunchtime menu and the specials are exactly that: special. For those who share a passion for seafood and tapas, look no further than Castaways Restaurant, Mylor.

We visited Harvey's Wharf on a chilly November day. Everything about this restaurant is welcoming, the staff have just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency, the decor is funky and interesting. Fabulous views and sublime homemade food.

Excellent meal and friendly service. They were at a disadvantage because repair work which had 'sprung up' on the pavement made access a bit difficult and may well have been the reason they were quiet. This didn't detract from the evening though. Top marks all round - especially the wine.

Disappointing. Last evening meal at the end of an enjoyable break. In Cornwall so felt we had to finish on local fish. To be honest, it could have come from Sainsbury's - Dover Sole was tasteless and my partner's starter seemed as though it had been microwaved to death! A Saturday night but at the end of the season so I would have hoped the service would have been better than it was. This is the only place we didn't leave a tip.

Visited on a Thursday night in the middle of October. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant looks great. We asked if we could spread the courses out as we were not in any hurry and the staff were more than happy to accommodate our wishes.
The food was fantastic and every dish was cooked to perfection. The menu is compact and not over-fussy but there was still plenty that caught our eyes.
We were in the restaurant for nearly 2 hours and at the end of the evening had a pleasant time chatting to the staff whilst sat at the bar.
Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anybody who wants to visit a fantastic fish restaurant in Falmouth

My wife and I ate at the restaurant last week and the quality of seafood was superb.

I real find - 1st visit after missing lunch over the road. Had Mum with me so was anxious, but needn't have been. Great food, superb location (tables outside a bit shabby) but otherwise I'll definitely go again.

Anniversary dinner with my wife on October 6th - set in a very romantic coastal cove with serene views out to sea - offering an intimate setting with food that was prepared and presented perfectly. A cosmopolitan choice was offered on a fine menu with several traditional offerings. I can recommend champagne by the glass, the partridge starter and lamb main course. Tell your friends. I have.

My partner and I arrived at the Red Lion PH by chance, during a sat nav led journey to the middle of the unknown (I hate those machines). We decided to stop for a bit to eat, as we had been travelling for a while, and had not eaten a hot meal, other than fish and chips, for ages. We tucked ourselves away in a quiet corner of this rustic local establishment, and perused the extensive but local food menu. After only a short period, we had both decided that we were set for a good evening meal, and placed our order.
After a short wait, our food arrived and our enjoyment continued. I think I can honestly say, that the dinner that I ate on that eve was one of the best meals that I have ever had out in a local establishment, and it was perfectly balanced with just enough attention from the staff, but not enough that you feel constantly watched. I had the pork fillet with black pudding and a creamy garlic and rosemary sauce, and it was amazing, with no other words to describe it. My partner, being vegetarian, had a suitably matching meal, making sure that we both cleared our plates. There was a fine selection of ales on the board, and several wines to choose from. All very good.
The only distress that I am left with following this meal is that I have a mere 400 mile drive to experience this again. Head over to this place, the food is really something else!

I ate at this restaurant last Thurday, 13th September with my husband, brother and his wife. Although the food was nicely cooked and presented I do feel it is very overpriced, especially as you are charged £2.50 extra for vegetables. Also my husband and my brothers wife had a pork dish that had a lot of fat on it, so not exactly good value for money.

Ate here on 14th sept 07. Had a really lovely meal. Very tasty and fresh. Excellent service, nothing was too much trouble. Nice atmosphere. Very clean and well presented restuarant. Best chinese meal out we have ever had in a restuarant. We didn't expect it to be as good, as we chose to go in as it looked nice from the outside, but we knew nothing about the place before hand. Definitely highly recommend eating here.

Wow! What a fantastic place to eat. Four of us ate there on 12th September 2007 and were all amazed at the standard of both the food and staff. Nothing was too much trouble. In fact as I didn't want a starter like the others, I was presented with a gorgeous bowl of mixes olives so that I wasn't left out. My excellent Bouillabaisse was a challenge as I guessed it would be. In fact brilliant all round, we will definitely be back again.

I have been to cribbs twice in the last two months, and all i can say is fantastic. The food is excellent ,and the service is very efficient and friendly .I would highly recommend cribbs to anyone eating out in falmouth.

visited in mid august with party of ten including 2 young children and 2 teenagers. the experience was excellent all round but the ambience friendliness and adaptability of the staff was outstanding. absolutely no problem to pander to the needs of the children (egg and chips and pasta dishes)with the sophisticated menu. one of the best restaurants i have visited.

great sunday afternoon pub get there early if you need a parking space as can be a little congested as this place is located at the bottom of a steep hill directly over looking the water ex views . food was fresh looking as meals were brought out , i chose fish & chips mmm really enjoyable sitting outside sun shining glass of wine ex views what more could you ask for give it a whirl im sure you wontbe dissapointed

A truly excellent meal we chose the trio of day boat fish, what you get depends on the catch landed that day, we had scallops, sea bass and halibut it was beautifully cooked and presented. The restauatant is quite small but we had a lovely table in the cellar. The staff were attentive and friendly and were happy to allow you to take your time. A really special anniversary meal and we would definately eat there again.

i ate at Cribbs last saturday, and it was obvious that they are a popular resturaunt, they was packed! i ate the crusted sea bass which was absolutely superb and my wife had the thai lamb which was a work of genious, i would highly reccomend this place, its a relaxing and chilled atomsphere. The chocolate torte we had to share for desert, and it was without doubt the best looking desert ive ever seen and taste was to die for. no visit to falmouth is complete without a meal at Cribs.

The de la mer does exactly what it says on the tin. Tony and Alison set out their stall three years ago and have not deviated or looked back since. Consistency is the name of the game here, always excellent quality food, always good service, time and time again. You can't go wrong paying them a visit!!!!

Wasn't sure what to expect from the outside but when we walked down the stairs the atmosphere captured us. A lovely intimate restaurant with well spaced out tables and 'easy on the eye' decor. The food was superb and the Chef came out to talk to the customers which I thought was a lovely gesture. The waitress was very helpful, altogether we had a lovely, relaxed, enjoyable evening.

I've eaten at this gorgeous restaurant on numerous special occasions because I know the food is amazing! :)

What a great place. Just on the water a nice bar and lots of fish. I had fish cakes and was surprised that three came and they all had different fish. My partner had the soup of the day you could stand a spoon in. A bowl of chips and some beers a very good restaurant that we are eager to come back to.

visited dec 06 had booked just to be on the safe side the place filled up in around 30 mins . staff very polite & helpful especially the manageress over the menu .the food was excellent & nicely presented . a little gem in penryn worth another visit

Lovely little restaurant, staff very friendly and food excellent. Just a shame that on the night we visited a local party were also dining there and were very loud and inconsiderate not to mention foul mouthed! A quiet word from management was needed to restore the ambience but unfortunately this didn't happen. Recommended but advise checking there are no large parties booked!

i went to the Boslowick Inn for Sunday Lunch and i have to say it was magnificent, the bar staff, waitresses and the food was second to none, the atmospere friendly and welcome and the service spectacular, i will definatly be going back!!!

Why have we not read anything about De Wynns before? What a charming and timeless little place it is. The food, the ambience and the seating/space all remind me of the era of a few years back - when things were nice and friendly and not over-the-top. Food here is what you expect from good ingredients treated well by those who know how to do it. The soup along with a hunk of granary bread is a meal to bring back days of yore - not found in too many restaurants all trying to be "hip".
We will be back to De Wynns and have a favourite table (not to be shared as you may be seated there when we come back). Visited in 2006 and looked forward to for return in 2007.

Lovely food, with a great, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Lively, inviting and Friendly service. One of the best meals I've had in Cornwall by far. Really excellent.

VISITING SOME SITES ON THE INTERNET WE KNEW THIS PLACE WAS A" FIRST PORT OF CALL." WE CHEEKALY WENT ONLY FOR LATTES &BREAKFAST AND ENDED UP ABSORBING THE NAUTICAL ATMOSPHERE OF THIS PLACE. THE MENU WAS EXTENSIVE AND BREAKFAST WAS A TREAT WITH SUCH HEALTHY OPTIONS. IN MID WINTER WE SAT OUTSIDE LOOKING DOWN ON THE RIVER AND YACHTS... TRULY MEMORABLE.wHAT I REALY WANT TO SAY IS I AM A FUSSY AND GLUTEN FREE FOODIE. HELPFUL STAFF INFORMED ME OF HOW THEY MAKE ALL THEIR STOCKS AND JUS FROM ALL THE NATURAL SOURCES& METHODS. nO WONDER THEIR FOOD IS SO TASTY WITH CHOICES ACROSS THE BOARD. I THINK MORE PEOPLE SHOULD BE INFORMED OF THE SKILL, LOVE AND CARE THESE GREAT GUYS PUT INTO IT.fOR ME AS A GLUTEN INTOLLERANT BEING, EATING OUT CAN BE A NIGHTMARE FOR ME ,SO MANY PLACES BUY SO MUCH OF THEIR DISHES IN PACKETS. A lively place in a great spot. Friendly staff, excellent service and an adventurous menu that is both good value and well-prepsared. The locals go there. I'm a local and I commend the place.

Really good food -- we have eaten here several times and it has always been excellent. The scallops and chorizo with fig I had last time compared easily with the fine dining I have had travelling through Europe for work. We have enjoyed sea bass and mackerel, steak and lamb shank, paella and stuffed peppers -- but make sure to leave room for the chocolate brownies! The food is always cooked to order. It looks good and tastes good and is great value for money.

The pizza that I ate at The Shed was amazing, it was full of delicious Italian ingredients. The staff were friendly and I even had a chat with the New Zealand owner who seems to have time for everyone. I will definitely return shortly.

The Shed restaurant is a great place to eat with friends. It is ideal for families as we can all chat and have a wonderful dinner as the children play outside. The staff are always friendly and the food superb.

I am rather reluctant to enter this review. I now use this restaurant frequently but it is often fully booked if I want to go at weekends! I have learnt to book as early as possible.

The food is always of the highest standards equal to anything I have eaten anywhere and the portions just right. Especially good are the excellent duck and the very fresh fish in season, all beautifully cooked by the owner/chef.

Prices are very reasonable, the young staff most friendly and helpful and it has a wonderful atmosphere having been most tastefully coverted from an old sail loft and pub.

In my mind, without doubt the best restaurant in Falmouth, if not in Cornwall!

We ate at Hunkydroy on our cristmas hoilday to falmouth last year and were amazed buy the quality of food we had in hunkydory the staff were very good. We will be back on our next trip to falmouth.

As soon as you go down the stairs there is a lovely warm atmosphere. The food is very appetising with a wide variaty of things to choose from the service was excellent and very freindly.A very nice experiance which I will definatly repeat.

Great spot, good atmosphere, a bit pricey but overall an nice evening meal. Lots of fish choices and inventive dishes.
Great dessert I had the mousse, lovely. Bit stingy with the scallops on the starter you'll need three courses. But I would still recommend a visit.

great place, appeals to all ages, one of the only places we know that you can take your kids and dog and have a great meal. healthy menu for kids and staff are very helpful..definetly a must if your in falmouth.

the lemon arms is a great pub and a does a Excellent Sunday Lunch.alan is a top landload and his wife rose does the best sunday dinner by far.

A wonderful venue, especially in winter with the log fires blazing. In summer one can see the lake. A good selection of plain food and plenty of it.

A great place to go for a break from shopping. Personally I would recommend the bacon sandwhiches and curly chips, perhaps accompanied by an iced tea - absolutly lush!

An absolutly beautiful place in Falmouth! Gorgeous beach, lovely staff, and good food (weather permitting the sunshine goes down a treat as well)! Cold or not this is a beautiful position on the coast and I'd suggest that you do not deprive yourself of this relaxed location!

The Rumbling Tum, it's a very nice tucked away cafe, with good fresh, tasty food and is very good value for money..

A fun location that happens to serve good food!! The menu is varied and the selection is fresh. Fab granary bread - to die for and worth having. Service is pleasant and efficent. worth a visit, casual but worth every penny.

What a great night out! My wife and i were eager to try this wnderful Bistro now it is under new management, and we were not disappointed! A wonderful atmosphere, and great food! A must for all visitors, and locals in Falmouth. I had mussels for a starter, and my wife had the melon, with lemon sporbet, followed by half a lobster, and sea bass for mai course. Everything was superb, and the steamed new potatoes with truffle oil are to die for!! We both had a great evening nicely finished with Irish coffee.

We were celebrating my birthday, and they made us feel very welcome. They were friendly and not in your face! The service was efficient and friendly and the food was outstanding. a memorable evening
