The renowned ‘Dining Galleries’ restaurant is open for breakfast, table d’hote and light lunches and elaborate a la carte evening menus with musical accompaniment.

The Penventon’s reputation for superb cuisine, excellent service and friendly staff has been going strong for 40 years and the proof really is in the pudding. In this case, the Penventon Tiramisu which is created from a homemade Venetian recipe by Mrs.Pascoe herself; it is pure indulgence.







To choose from more than 100 classic French, Italian and English dishes is a connoisseurs dream. Simply relax and enjoy favourite melodies played on the grand piano each evening.



A brigade of 10 chefs prepares AA Rosette menus of local fish, shellfish and meat. The restaurant is open for full English breakfast, Table d\'hote and light lunches, elaborate and extensive a la carte choices for evening dinner. As expected, vegetarian options are always available. Larger celebration parties are also accommodated for.



The gracious Georgian interior is furnished with many interesting and unique antiques, furniture and paintings. The hotel can cater for up to approx 250 people for weddings and events. The hotel has indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi and gymnasium as well as beauty salon and solarium. The Health and Leisure Complex is open to both the general public and hotel guests.

Our extensive wine list contains over 60 bins including red, white, rose, sparkling wines and dessert wines. The hotel also offers half bottles. Our bar also holds a large selection of Cocktails, liqueurs, ports, whiskies and brandies. The Penventon stock 10 different champagnes including rose champagne, Veuve Cliquot and Dom Perignon Vintage. The Penventon are the biggest supplier of Bollinger in Cornwall and it is our champagne of choice. Experienced bar staff and wine waiters are on hand for recommendations.

 

Functions:
Weddings, birthdays, celebrations and conferences all welcome. Hotel can cater for up to 250 people. Please call the hotel and ask to speak to our Functions and Events Manager.

 

Price Range:
Starters begin at £4.25 – Main course at £13.75 Filleto di Bistecca Flambe; sliced Cornish fillet steak tails sautéed in onion and mushroom sauce with a hint of garlic and French mustard. Flambeed in Brandy and cooked in the dining room.

 

Vegetarian Options:
Yes vegetarian dishes available; Vegetarian sample: Zucchini and aubergine pizzaiola; char-grilled zucchini and aubergine served with spaghetti and a tomato and basil sauce

 

Sample Dish:
Sample Dishes Caneton Roti a l’orange; crispy duck breast served with an orange and Grand Marnier sauce, Seasonal Dover sole grilled whole, Steamed Fillet of Halibut with a white wine, tomato and prawn sauce.
