Review this restaurant

Proprietor: Anita George MBE

Head Chef: Andrew Gilbert

The Logan Rock is a traditional Cornish village pub with real ales and excellent home cooked food.

Food sourced locally is served all year round. From July to end of August food is available from 12 - 9.30pm

Food is gluten-free. We also cater for any dietary requirements/special needs - please ask

Situated in the small picturesque village of Treen, the inn is named after the remarkable Logan Rock which stands on the cliffs within a short walk of the village.

This huge granite boulder was famous for its ability to rock back and forth without falling, balanced as it was by nature on the surrounding rocks, a touch from a hand could set it rocking (hence its name from the ancient dialect word "log" - to rock).

An ideal refreshment stop for hikers walking the coastal footpath and a favourite for a pre performance meal before enjoying an evening at the nearby Minack Theatre, the Logan Rock Inn has a fine welcome and a great atmosphere at any time of year.

During the Winter months an open fire is kept burning in the bar, enjoyed not only by its human visitors but also by the landlord's charming dogs, who like nothing better than to lie in front of the blazing fire.

The building itself is very interesting with wooden beamed ceilings and intriguing local artefacts and has been used as a film location.

You may also like to visit our sister pub The Yacht Inn situated in Penzance with beautiful views overlooking the bay and serving excellent home cooked food and also with superb bed and breakfast accommodation in Penzance

Further Details

A short walk from the Pub will take you to Cornwalls most famous Logan Rock ( rocking stones ) the stone is a block of Granite weighing over 60 tons, perched on a another and as a result of weathering, the slighest touch will set it rocking. It was in 1854 that a Naval Lieutenant levered it out of position. Due to pressure from the local inhabitants, the Admiralty made him replace it, the cost to himself £130. An itemised copy of the bill is available at the Pub.
