As you would expect from a hotel in Padstow, we pride ourselves on our delicious food. In the Harbour Restaurant, we use Cornish produce wherever possible, including local seafood.
Padstow is a bit of a ‘foodie’ paradise and here, at The Met, we are very proud of our superb Harbour Restaurant and Café Bar - and of our team of chefs who work hard to bring the best possible menus to our guests.
We use a range of local suppliers, recognising the quality and value of what is produced in Cornwall and the importance to the local economy. Our head chef, Adam Warne is one of Cornwall’s stars, dedicated to his craft.
Our AA Rosette Harbour Restaurant has fabulous views (as you would expect with a name like that!) and offers a Daily Menu that will include the very tastiest local produce.
The Met Café Bar offers a less formal dining experience and is the ideal spot for a cappuccino, sandwich, lunch or even dinner.
You can see a sample Café Bar menu here. You can relax with a pre-dinner drink and look out over the Camel Estuary or curl up with a nightcap by the fire in the winter.

And, of course, you can’t visit Cornwall without tucking into at least one Cornish Cream Tea (including delicious Cornish Clotted Cream), which we serve every day, either in the Café Bar or out in the garden. In fact, there’s nothing better after a brisk walk round the town or along the coast path.
Non-residents are always welcome and we know that we offer some of the best food in the town!
One of Cornwall’s most famous harbour towns, Padstow is probably best known for its wonderful seafood. Together with a number of wonderful shops to explore, it is also home to the National Lobster Hatchery, which provides visitors a fascinating insight into the hard work required to keep up a sustainable lobster population in Cornwall (and the baby losters are utterly delightful!).

Menu Summary:
At less than 30 years of age, our head chef, Adam Warne, is one of Cornwall’s quiet stars. He is one of the youngest head chefs in our group and developed his experience – and passion for food – in a variety of Cornish hotels. He is a firm supporter of nurturing local talent and, as a Cornishman, has strong links with local suppliers, who not only provide the best local produce but it also means we can decrease our food miles. Adam and his team also work hard on creating menu options for weddings, private parties and corporate events.
