Wherever you are in Cornwall, here is a destination dining pub well worth seeking out…

Tucked away in the picturesque hamlet of Trebellan this delightful country pub is a real sight for sore eyes. A traditional bar with roaring log fire keeps thirsts quenched with a wonderful selection of local ales & wines, whilst a separate restaurant awaits with fantastic local produce served focusing on classic British dishes.

The Smugglers is a lot more than just a pub, it is a dining experience in a wonderful building and the team led by Simon and Sue place great emphasis on good service and a warm welcome for both locals and visitors to this stunning location.

The Sunday lunch is wildly popular so it advisable to ring and book in order to secure availability. Of course seafood plays its part generously in the Smugglers menu the mussels here are very popular and in a more pastoral vein, the slow roasted shoulder of Westcountry Lamb is not to be missed either.

Further Details

Our menu offers a selection of traditional British pub classics with a focus on seasonal produce from a wide selection of fantastic Cornish artisan producers.

With an abundance of great suppliers here within the county we intend to showcase them in the best possible way – let the flavours do the talking! Favourite items on the menu which still remain include our fantastic fish pie, Moules frites & of course the Smugglers burger.

But in an effort to showcase more of our county’s great suppliers we can now be proud to offer a delightful Primrose Herd tasting selection from Bill & Sally Lugg, mouth watering Aberdeen Angus steaks from Angus Trotters butchers not to mention fresh bread delivered daily by Baker Tom!
