Upon arriving at the Maharajah you are greeted by a friendly host in the lounge of this stunning interior.
Leather sofas, plasma tv screen and a massive statue of buddha greet the diner while you peruse the menu and order a bottle of Crystal.
Bollywood booms from the speakers and tv until you are beckoned to your table to feast on one of the best views in Newquay where the Atlantic stretches as far as you can see.
The menu is contempoary and has plenty of familiar dishes for the conservative one among you .
If you venture further you will see great tandoori dishes cooked in authentic tandoori ovens.
The spices are explained on the front of the menu and need to be as the chefs here have 30 plus mixtures which they blend daily to enhance the choice of lamb, Fish, prawns, chicken or vegetable dishes.
Then finally after you have enjoyed your meal you would expect to receive a bill that reflects all this luxury but are dismayed when it resembles any other you might find on any British high street.
Truly a destination restaurant of the highest order.
