We have all the charm and style of an upmarket beach shack and our simple styling appeals to the unpretentious crowd who visit.

But while the interior, with its bank of windows is lovely, it’s our terrace that really sells this spot – elevated just above the shoreline on Narrow Cliff, this sun trap has views to the horizon, unimpeded by anything more than passing boats and birds. Here you’ll enjoy Head Chef Ryan Mather’s own brand of British and international food, created using excellent fresh and local ingredients with a strong focus on.
What else? Well – seafood and a daily changing specials board featuring the best of the season.

One of our main suppliers is Flying fish who also supply some of the countries top celebrity chefs. The quality of their produce is outstanding! Our shellfish is even delivered live which guarantees absolute freshness. From sea to plate within 24hrs.

Sunday roasts are popular and served all summer long. We also offer an extensive wine menu to suit all our dishes.

Kids are most welcome, and all their meals are also homemade and freshly prepared to order. Come and experience Kaunha for a simple coffee, cream tea, fresh smoothie, or something a little stronger, and maybe indulge in a dinning experience to remember for lunch or dinner.

Our location is one of our best features. From our photo galleries you can see we are, quite literally, on the beach. Tolcarne is part of what is know as Newquay Bay. At low tide over a mile of sandy beaches are exposed, whereas at hightide the headlands create three seperate beaches know as Towan, Tolcarne and Lusty Glaze.

Situated in the middle of these three beaches, Kahuna enjoys panoramic views reaching from the Pentire headland to Tolcarne Bay. There's nowhere else in Newquay where you can dine this close to the ocean.
