The deep, rich colours and ornate features in The Fowey’s restaurant are redolent of the grand days when hotels were busy, social hubs and dining out was an occasion.
Such surroundings provide an atmospheric soupcon of past times, which combined with delicious food, makes dining here a totally pleasurable experience.
The hotel will gladly cater for special dietary requirements and appreciates advance notice in this respect.
For those wishing to dine more informally, a comprehensive Bar menu is available at lunchtimes and in the evenings.

An award winner in the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2009, The Fowey Hotel is renowned for its friendly, relaxed atmosphere and high standards. AA Rosette recognition for fine food is a staple here and The Fowey’s kitchen boasts one of the few Master Chefs of Great Britain.
A fine example of classic Victorian architecture and charm, The Fowey hotel exudes character and warmth with just the right degree of quirk, to provide a warm and ambient environment. The hotel has 37 individually decorated en suite bedrooms, many which offer panoramic views out over the Fowey estuary.
There is a comfortable bar and two lounges as well as the restaurant, all offering stunning views. You can sit happily and while away the hours – for hours!!
The hotel is set in a landscaped garden with a second, beautiful garden area just across the Esplanade, right by the water's edge. The gardens have featured in the annual Fowey In Bloom awards.
In the lower garden traditional Cornish Cream Teas are served on lazy summer days or, alternatively, on the hotel terrace overlooking the gardens and water.
You might like to note...The hotel has lift access to rooms, provided by a delightful period lift.
Guests should be aware that lift type access is not readily available elsewhere in Fowey – if car park space is not pre-booked (The Fowey has limited parking available), then guests are welcome to offload luggage at the hotel prior to parking (uphill) in the main local car park.
The Fowey does offer a shuttle service for guests to and from the main car park.
Please note that guests wishing to settle their account using an Amercican Express card will be charged a small additional levy of 3.4%.
