Review this restaurant

Proprietor: The Wight Brothers

Head Chef: Ben Lightfoot

Eating and drinking is central to The Ferryboat Inn, where we serve Wright Brothers'trademark seafood specialities alongside home-made pub classics.

We have a 'farm to plate'philosophy meaning we want little or nothing to come between you and the produce we serve. Many of our oysters and shellfish are grown and harvested at the historic Duchy of Cornwall Oyster Farm (a short boat-ride up-river from the pub), and our fish, crabs and lobsters come from local boats.

The kitchen is in the charge of Ben Lightfoot, formerly of The Sticky Prawn on Flushing Quay, and his menu is about locally sourced food, served simply.

Further Details

Recently updated, The Ferryboat Inn's original features have been given a new lease of life.

Our main bar, with its unrivalled view of the river, large French windows, slate floor, wooden beams and open fireplace has a fun and lively atmosphere.

The former servery has been transformed into an oyster bar with relaxed counter seating where you can enjoy the theatre of chefs shucking oysters and preparing seafood. For anyone wanting something a little more intimate, we have a cosy dining room tucked behind the main bar.

The pub is a wonderful base or stop-off for visitors to Trebah Gardens, Glendurgan and the numerous walks and boat-trips around Mawnan Smith, Durgan and the Helford Estuary (see the 'What's On's ection).

Extensive car parking facilities are available and children and dogs are welcome.
