The Waterloo Restaurant is warm and welcoming. The dining room is chic and comfortable with leather seats and a cosy waiting area with huge leather sofas.

BBC Changing rooms designed the restaurant in 2004 after the Boscastle floods.

It was to be one of the final Changing Rooms projects and an experience that we will never forget.

Graham Wynne was the designer in charge with help from Anna Ryder Richardson and Gordon Whistance not forgetting Laurence Llewellyn Bowen, a regular diner.

The food is ambitious and visually stunning with a huge amount of talent being employed on every dish. One too watch.

Further Details

The menu is adventurous but offers something for everyone. Its imaginative and shows a real zeal for cooking great British food.

Chef Mick Griffiths makes everything including a huge bread selection, changes the menu frequently reflecting the seasons and the local catch. The produce is all locally sourced.

The meat is from Button Meats of Michaelstow who use all locally reared Cornish cattle.

The fish is from Bude and when the seas are too rough locally they use fish from the south coast.

The fruit and vegetables are from DF Fruit supplies of Bodmin and when local seasonal produce is available, they endeavour to use it no matter what the cost.

All of the sauces, jams, chutneys, pickles, breads and chocolates are made here so if you particularly like something, they're happy to check with the chef if he has any available for sale!
