| | From the remains of a converted schoolhouse The Tyrinham has done the impossible in turning a huge building on the old coach road to St. Ives into one of West Cornwall's best loved institutions. With old fashioned hard work, a love of good cooking and kindly service with a smile the Tyringham Arms is busy year round with folk who love a good honest meal and pleny of it. The building is spacious and needs to be for all the people it serves. Yet you can find a seat in the bar and have a quiet pint and not know about the busy restaurant next door. Or you could sit outside and enjoy a pint and a plate of fish and chips in the serene setting of this garden restaurant. The pub is popular for events and functions and generally more subdued out of season when the locals abound. A fine example of the traditional still pleasing most everyone in search of a honest great value dinner using the best of local Cornish ingredients.
